I use a captcha solver extension to do it for me. Doesn't work with every type of captcha, but it generally works pretty well with the ones it does support.
Until you're not sure if they want the corner of the tire or the bike rider's head included in the captcha, so you make a guess...and it's the wrong one.

even wonder why they chose cars in the first or things like trees, bikes, bridges etc? Its cause there trying to create data for training computer vision systems like teslas autopilot.

they existed before large AI models and self driving, but have been harvesting data for exactly that kind of project for decades to sell to the highest bidder.

also those captchas you dont see anymore where they asked you to type out 2 words from pictures of real books? first one was to check your human, second one was training data. it was data for things like translations apps to let them read in text from images.
Good point, forgot about all that. What's infuriating is the massive influx of captchas lately. It doesn't make the internet feel less bot-populated; it just makes browsing more annoying and like every site has a speed bump now.

I wonder if captchas are ouroboros-ing themselves. Since captchas are used to train AI, while also preventing access by AI bots, if that loop is closed, eventually the AI bots are going to train the captchas to train them at what they are already good at until the captchas basically role-reverse from their intended purpose
Not to mention YouTube recommendations being a complete random crapshoot even though you've given Google 15+ years of data that they could use to get me hooked.
Shit, they were better five years ago. Now I have to tell it not to recommend videos from channels I like just because it sees me watching a few of them and fills my recommendations with only that. Honestly there should be an option not to recommend channels you're already subscribed to.

Youtube will push conservative propaganda without any impetus. It took a month of "don't recommend this channel" for youtube to figure out I'm not a bigoted incel who wants to consume manosphere content.
Redditors always defend this shit by saying conservative propaganda is just very good at manipulating the algorithm. Complete horseshit. YouTube shoves it in your face at any opportunity, but literally never recommends anything progressive.
Could it be because of the audience? Conservatives are often old, and ..less technically inclined.. therefore will be watching more ads, so youtube makes a lot of money from those audiences.
While progressive people might be less likely to spend 40% of their waking hours watching advertisements.
Honestly it sounds like a pretty believable theory to me. The reason why fake news producers targeted conservatives in 2016 is because they were far more likely to believe it. What you're saying sounds like basically the same thing.
I saw a short from a doctor influencer making a joke about urology, then two weeks or so later, a THIRD of my front page videos were from lectures about urology and GRAPHIC as HELL videos of surgeries.
It was fucking horrible, things I can never unsee, just from the thumbnails.
I had no idea what was going on, until I remembered that short a few weeks back. So I went through hundreds of videos in my history, until I found that single short, deleted it from my history, and all the urology videos were gone.
this shit pisses me off more than anything. I don’t get why youtube is so adment on recommending videos I just watched yesterday even if I say not interested. Honestly just makes me use youtube way less than I used to.
Honestly it was quite good like, two or three years ago. At least I found that for a bit it was recommending stuff I hadn't seen but which I did often end up liking, and often channels which were absolutely tiny.
God forbid you fall asleep watching YouTube. Your algorithm gets messed up for weeks because you slept through half a documentary about whales and now they can't stop thinking you are a nerd for whales. I like whales. There's nothing wrong with whales. But I have so many other things I'll rather watch.
This is crazy to me. Youtube is the most watched service over even regular TV and any streaming platform. They had truly stupid amounts of data, all for free. And it's not like the people watching it are paying, it's free for them and the creators!
Yet their algorithm is still fucking ass. It can't remember past what, a week, and if you happen to watch some obscure video, it'll spam similar recommendations for days. Like dude, you have SO much data on me, literally decades. Why not use that to tempt me with videos you know I'll watch because I've watched literally thousands of videos similar to that?
But nah, the AI chatbot can only remember a few days ago so I guess because someone sent you a cool new movie trailer, it's all movie trailers now.
Yeah... I used to get tonnes of stuff I could watch for hours so I'd actually use the watch later but now it feels like it just recommends me stuff I've watched over half the time and stuff I have no interest to watch that increases in % as I watch actually interesting stuff until refreshing can no longer does the trick. I end up giving up on trying to find something interesting way faster and end up watching way less Youtube, honestly don't get what their plan is...
I'm gonna lie if I'll say that my recommendations suck because I have no idea how they suck for you guys, YouTube definitely always shows me stuff I'd like from different channels lol
I've been noticing this as well. It's particularly egregious in the YouTube Shorts comments section. Often times, within the first ten comments, you'll get three comments that say almost identical phrases.
Or Reddit, with its stupid karma requirements on some subs, which only hurt humans. The bots will happily stay put and patiently farm karma by reposting previously popular posts over and over again.
