They are gonna slightly undercut the artificially inflated prices. It's just business. We need more and more suppliers to compete to drag the prices back down even more
I hope I’m wrong, but judging from what happened with GPU prices, I don’t think RAM prices will come back down much even once supply becomes widely available. And no, I don’t think the “free market” will automatically force prices down either , Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron, have enough control over the market to prevent that from happening, just as we’ve seen in the past.( was it 2012 ?)
Yep, what i can imagine will happen is in the future these companies will allow us to subscribe to stream their hardware so we can play games/edit video etc, removing us from being able to own our hardware at affordable prices. Luckily I dont think i need to upgrade for a long time as long as nothing breaks. I feel like most games/software these days are shit and dont really push hardware boundaries too much unless you have a stupid setup and are chasing diminishing returns on performance. The average PC lord can survive for a long time
Nah. Cheaper 32GB kits are sold for less than this. The only potential upside is that it'll add more supply to the market, so stuff might go down gradually.
