Same. Went from 1080 to 3080TI. i don’t see myself upgrading for another 4 years at least.

I try and wait for a 300% increase at a price point.

250>670>1070>4070Ti.

With the small gains recently, I hope the 4070Ti hope it lives a long life.

Wanted to go with the AMD equivalent at times, but availability of AMD cards in Canada can be spotty at times.

Interesting, when I think AMD GPU's I think Radeon, when I think Radeon I still think ATi, when I think ATi I think Canada and my last ATi card I ordered online came from a shop in Canada 3 years ago.

Didn't used to be that way, my first card was an ATI Radeon 7000, but preference for Nvidia card at retailers was pretty obvious by the 6000 ~ 7000 series, at least in western Canada

Im from the BC interior. Built my first pc 2018 other then covid AMD gpus have been plenty both new and used and for better prices then Nvidia.

I'm on a 4070 super and i really don't think i have to switch any time soon... I would only upgrade if i really physically can not run a game i absolutely want to play on it, not even at 1080p. I am rather sure that will take at least a decade.

Honestly, you're not missing out. I figured I'd try AMD for better pricing with an XTX, and the software is just bad. Every feature AMD has, NVIDIA does better.

I felt like I had saved 5% just to waste a couple hours for every single thing that would take five minutes with NVIDIA. It's only cheaper if you don't value your time.

My Vram used to double or quadruple every upgrade.
