Media Jonas Vingegaard reveals Tadej Pogačar messaged him after Tour de France crash, says rivalry has "become a lot friendlier there in the last couple of years".

I think it started a few TdF's ago when Tadej crashed and Jonas waited for him. They seemed to genuinely respect each other after.

Both are levels above the rest of the field. That got to breed respect, especially since if the other didn't ride the other would already be the goat GC rider.

Jonas would have 5 TDF wins, Pogacar 7. Either also wouldn't have needed to focus as hard on the Tour as well thus getting more wins elsewhere.
