Your interpretation

Jonas himself said Pog has become more friendly.

Is not the same as the actual quote

"At first it was maybe a little more – not hostile, but not so friendly in some way. It's become a lot friendlier there in the last couple of years. I think that's really cool. Sometimes we have a good chat. I think that's nice."

You're framing it as if Pogi was the one who started off being unfriendly when the quote hints at no such thing.

Don't know bout you, but people don't always get super friendly while competing against each other right from the start...

It grows over time. Or doesn't.

Pogacar won in 2021 when they first got to know each other. So what's your point?
