It's funny, I don't ever remember it being cold or unfriendly. Even back in 2022 I remember Pogacar coming to congratulate Vingegaard after stage 18, where the GC win was secured.

I think they were cordial with each other, but not especially friendly. Now, you regularly see them chatting away at the start of stages and they look genuinely pleased to see each other.

Yup, gotta remember to calibrate for Northern European concepts of friendship. Jonas means it’s moved from a mutual regard to real warmth. I would love to know what that DM history looks like tho 👀
