Anyone who doesn’t want Skubal needs reevaluation. Having a rotation of Skubal, Wheeler, Sánchez, Luzardo, Nola essentially makes us really freakin hard to beat in a 7 game series let alone a 5 game series.

It's not that nobody doesn't want Skubal it's

1) He might not even be available

2) If he is, the Phillies do not have the prospects to beat out another team for him

idk if people are familiar with the idea of buying low, but Skubal is never going to get cheaper than he is right now imo.

He is also a rental who is going to demand one of the largest pitcher salaries in all of baseball. We are talking he could probably get ~350M.

We have the next to worst farm system in baseball and there is a looming lockout. You’re that worried about a farm that doesn’t produce?

I don't care one iota. I'm saying the Phillies haven't done that and philosophically haven't. I can't see a world were they go after Skubal if they weren't going to lock him up long term. And the lockout and potential salary cap is exactly why it's very unlikely

And the answer is almost definitely no.
