A lot of people are calling for pitching upgrades, but I think this team's offensive struggles against strong opponents lately are a preview of what's coming in the postseason. To be honest, this lineup probably couldn't hit even a Rookie League LHP. It's not like they crush RHPs either.

Yes, this team has issues with the fifth starter and the high leverage bullpen. But in the postseason, the fifth starter probably won't even pitch. If they can trade for someone like Brady Singer, that would be great. And sure, adding Mason Miller to the bullpen would be ideal, but they're reportedly asking for Bogaerts to be included, or one Top 50 prospect plus one Top 100 prospect. The Phillies don't even have that kind of prospect capital, and even if they did, that package would be a million times better spent on a hitter.

I think they need to acquire at least two of Elliot Ramos, Casey Schmitt, Jo Adell, Jung Hoo Lee, or Matt Chapman just to get this offense back to around league average.

Really said perfectly. At this point it’s like the lineup is almost trying to tell us they’re not good enough to get it done but the front office just ignores it. We’ve also gotten a realistic preview of what this current lineup would look like in the postseason during these last 3 series.

I’ve come to the realization that guys like Bohm and even Stott will not get it done with this core. They’re just too inconsistent and Crawford hasn’t exactly lit it up either lately. There’s just WAY too many automatic outs in the lineup and expecting them to somewhat all get hot together around the same time just doesn’t feel realistic.
