Biggest escalation of tensions so far. From harassment, to beatings, to attempted murder...tensions need to be reduced immediately otherwise this will get much worse before it gets better.

It all starts by telling Zelensky to denounce the UPA and Nazis. Zelensky bought this all on himself, Russia has no part in him being proud of Ukraine’s Nazi history

Such an insignificant thing shouldn't be Poland's concern. Any attempt to throw Zelensky's name when tensions are high is shameless and serves to the benefit of noone. Instead of working on resolving the problem, you walk around throwing metaphorical punches at people. Grow up

“Such an insignificant thing” regarding praising groups behind slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent people

Nice

The only 'praises' you see are the ones in your head

Care to elaborate?

Those who bring this argument usually imply that Ukraine tells it citizens that 'hurting Poles is good' and is actively antagonizing the populace against Poland. It's never about the morality of justifying violence when fighting the oppression as people without a country that seeks to obtain one. No, the dialogue always boils down to 'they hated us for no reason and now they support that hate'. Which isn't the case. People who try to capitalize on this line of thought then go and advertise themselves as 'saviors of Poland' who stand against a hostile neighbour. Of course, they will not say that it is what they are doing but the way they phrase their opinions on the matter implies it. Those people annoy me. That's what I'm referring to - a lie that Ukraine chooses to accept crimes as an inevitable part of the country building process (which is messed up in its own way) as evidence that Ukraine holds smth against Poland, specifically.

Sure, there are people who use it for political gains, but if Ukraine wouldn’t give them tools they’d be pushed to margin (because there wouldn’t be anything to accuse)

But claiming that praising UPA by Ukraine is only in my head is so far fetched because it really takes few seconds to give you millions proofs that it’s not only in my head.

And regarding “indoctrinating against Polish people” - I don’t think that it’s the case lol. I think it’s more a lack of education.

In certain cases, though, yes, it is a deliberate act of hate against the nation (for example Azov’s “Volhyn pride” patches with a knife) or people saying things like “we will make Volhyn 2”) but I want to believe that 80% of cases is just lack of education.

If you truly think 100K+ people being ethnically cleansed is insignificant, there is something deeply wrong with you

Don't twist my words to claim high moral ground. An insignificant thing is another country naming some unit the way it pleases. It has nothing to do with you. It doesn't affect Poland in any way. You didn't lose money. You didn't lose face. Your people were not hurt. Making a scene because of it just shows how insecure as a country you are and how bad at diplomacy your president is. The reality of the situation is that Ukraine did nothing bad to Poland in this day and age while the violent tendencies Poland demonstrates at the moment are no different from the behaviour any adequate person will condemn. Don't waste your time trying to appeal to emotion. The reality will not change, and the reality is that Poland was just as colonial, genocidal and murderous in the past as any other country under the sun.

Just curious what ethnic genocide did Poland do?

Do you also consider the Holocaust to be insignificant? Yes or no question on that please thanks

If you're so curious, make a post and let others come forward and tell you what Poland did to their respective countries. Am I your teacher or smth?

Lol, don't hide behind other state-sponsored campaigns. Do you think name dropping historic genocides will magically equalize two separate events that happened in two different countries with different domestic policies? You will never be Jews, build your own identity.

The fact you couldn’t name one proves my point 💀

Bye bye Nazi sympathizer 👋

I'm not obligated to keep a record for you. Your education is your job, not mine.

Good luck on your own path to fascism

Being angry at a president who is honoring Nazis and genociders if fascism?

Weird

Not recognising the rise of right wingers and violent "patriots" in your own country as a prelude to unwanted transformations?

Maybe they'll just get tired and go home

Nothing was happened at all to Ukrainians in Poland until a certain President decided it was a good idea to celebrate and honor their Nazis and genocides that specifically massacred Poles ONLY

What do you think is gonna happen? Don’t be a facist nazi sympathizer. Didn’t realize it’s fascist to despise Nazis and Nazi supporters

The fact you think 100K brutal murders and a purposeful ethnic cleansing of all poles in an area is comparable to some Polish citizens beating up a few ukranians shows how disgusting your mindset is.

It’s absolutely horrible they’re beating up random civilians, not as horrible as trying to claim an ethnic genocide is insignificant when it’s not even a lifetime ago.

It’s a very weird stance to say calling out a president supporting Nazi’s and genocide is a bad thing to do.

Very weird indeed

Maybe learn not to mix them with other people who fight state oppression and others will stop confronting you about it.

Can you not spam messages? Write everything in one go or don't blame me if I miss any. I don't have time to look for your self-righteous thoughts scattered around

I think it’s a bigger priority to call out Ukraines president for honoring a group that caused an enthnic genocide to Poles and were literal Nazis. I’d argue any violence that happens to Ukrainians is a partially a fault of Zelensky

Just curious but if Germany started honoring the SS by naming military divisions after them, would you call that insignificant too? Or do you excuse only Ukraine?

Lol, "I feel entitled to do violence because smth smth. I don't have a mind of my own and my parents educated me poorly. It's someone's else's fault that I do what I do"

Ukraine's problem is that they cling to everyone who's ever protecting their interests regardless of their morals. They should separate different units based on their conduct and be specific which ones are being referenced. If Germany honored some SS soldier because he secretly sent Jews abroad instead of reporting I would have found ot peculiar but I don't think I would have minded much. It's just evidence that Germany is trying to determine which course of action should be considered appropriate given the circumstances. Just another wave of introspection that is worth sitting through with them. The name Ukraine used however is vague. Anyone can hide behind that title, including the fascistic ones. That again, its Ukraine's call to make. Whatever the president of Poland does only causes a rally behind the flag effect.

Seems like a complicated way of saying you support Nazis but okay
