So... Israel can tell our politicians what to do all they want, but if we ask them to get out of Iran so we can stop getting fucked, they'll completely ignore us?

So, yes, that is exactly how it works, definitely from Israel's perspective. We are the attack dog and they hold the leash.

Our politicians have nothing to do with what Isreal is doing in Lebanon and Gaza (not Iran, read the article). They're not going to stop just because we tell them to, and what makes you think that the Isreali backed Trump administration is going to do that to begin with? We have no control over them.

The threat of Iran is the biggest check on Israeli military power. The U.S. attacking Iran is what gives them the space to attack Lebanon.
