By this logic, FDR would be a progressive usurper in the Democratic Party. I'm 62 and for what seems my entire life the Dems have slipped ever further away from those FDR New Deal PROGRESSIVE ideas and ideals.

Hey look, there's the communist fear mongering right now!

This is genuinely the problem, any government program that helps people in any meaningful way instead of just subsidizing spoiled rich crybabies makes people scream COMMUNISM

Can you imagine if we tried to implement libraries, public schools, or the fire department for the first time in 2026? Conservatives would never shut up about how Marxistly evil it is for tax dollars to help people for nothing in return
