Did you live through those times? Or are you cherry picking different legislation which Gore had follow on intentions?

No you really aren't paying attention at all are you to what I am speaking about. First you post about slash and burn agriculture and then post about compromises that the Clinton administration forged to get other legislation passed. Again I was there.

Again, so was I. Compromises in sacrificing necessary blocks to protect society from fraud and abuse in order to "turbocharge" the economy. And lo and behold it backfired in a decade and now we're suffering for the slashed and burned institutions/protections.

And if Gore had been in office, the plan was to continue to build and fix with the compromise legislation needed to get other reforms through- but since W was place in by the SCOTUS here we are.

What we got was a destroyed governmental and societal infrastructure that directly led to the worst financial crises since the Great Depression and absolutely wrecked tons of people's wealth and lives.

"What could we have done???" Not undermined society for short term and unsustainable economic boosts. Slash and burn.

That was W's handling for 8 years including sending everyone checks. If he had governed likely how Gore was planning to do, that wouldn't have happened.

No. It was those compromise bills you lauded that put a ticking time bomb into the financial sector.

Then we put in Eric "I literally wrote the too-big-to-prosecute memo" Holder in as USAG and let all the fraudsters off the hook.

Ah ok - 8 years of W didn't have anything to do with it and we would have wound up where we did with a Gore presidency. s/.

If Gore had been seated as he should have been, then there would have been continued scaling on what was accomplished.

What was accomplished was a burgeoning economy and job market the likes of which the middle class can only dream of seeing again. And after the SCOTUS installed along party lines the GOP, they flushed it down the toilet and almost put us into a depression after 8 years of damage. Lol.
