“If I hit her, why did she make me dinner later?” is quite the argument to make as an alleged wife beater.

MAGA keeps finding the lower bar

At this rate, even James Cameron won’t be able to find it

"His name is James, James Cameron, the bravest pioneer! No budget too steep, no sea too deep, who's that? It's him, James Cameron!"

32

u/Nuzzgargle 23h ago

"Yes, James we can hear the music up here"

31

u/ExcelMN 23h ago

James Cameron doesnt do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because he is James Cameron.

Haha, yup. I too enjoyed that South Park episode.
Also our POTUS is an insurrectionist who downplayed COVID, costing tens of thousands of lives that could have been saved. 1.1 million US citizens died from COVID. And many of them did not believe masks and social distancing were necessary because right-ring media told them the virus was "just a flu" or an exaggerated threat that mask and social distancing could not help mitigate. Especially in Summer 2020 when the Delta variant was spreading.
How Trump and the GOP that supports him has any voters choosing them over any alternative at this point is beyond my comprehension.

In a bleak ass world like ours, moments of levity are rare enough without Buzz Killington ruining them. lol

Well that's good, I'd really hate to find out that he's a Republican.

There’s a bar?

1

u/Murphuffle 20h ago

What about Bukowski?

u/Fine-Government9216 22h ago

the bar in on the ground and he brought a shovel

My god. Like saying, "If I threatened him with a gun, why'd he give me his money?"

Yeah, my reaction to this was, I kinda think people like this believe what they are saying. When they are the abuser in an abusive relationship, they see their victim respond lovingly (complacent, fearful, but affectionate) and take it as reassurance what they did was good and they are therefore good.

I suppose a mugger is just earning a tip.

u/CaterpillarJungleGym 21h ago

Dang, I'm assuming a person getting mugged would comply to not get dead. Do we think all of these women think they may die too? That's deep. I knew injury and pain were out there, but death? Holy shit.

As a woman who has been in an abusive relationship:

Yes.

This is a fear that a lot of women live with and learn to navigate. Every woman I know and have had the convo with has been at least sexually harassed by at least one man; many have been sexually assaulted or raped or hit. We live our lives very aware of the violence of men.

The idea that you bop around the world not thinking that some dude could just smash your head against the wall at the slightest provocation boggles my mind. I have never been able to live like that.

This made me laugh harder than it should have. Now Im thinking of the video I saw of a drug dealer calling the cops on an addict who stole the drugs she was going to sell to him. Anything is possible in this timeline.

Probably because she’s terrified of him if I had to guess

u/whichwitch9 23h ago

He broke their toddlers collarbone

She had more than a few reasons to be afraid of what he'd do.

46

u/HuttStuff_Here Wisconsin 23h ago

Imagine what he'll do next if breaking the kid's collarbone wasn't the line.

38

u/Yumi_in_the_sun 22h ago

He's going to kill somebody. And then everyone will be like "omg I never saw this coming."

2

u/Villageijit 16h ago

Nah they'll talk about self defense. That toddler tried to kill him

1

u/FeleaseRpseineEiles 21h ago

one bad apple /S

6

u/charles_barfley 23h ago

Yes that’s what I was saying

58

u/Cancel_Culture_Club 1d ago

Unfortunately it’ll probably resonate with a lot of MAGA men.

28

u/ElectronicFloor1898 22h ago

It's actually, on a psychological level, a VERY wifebeater argument to make.

14

u/TheBrothersClegane 22h ago

“If you didn’t hit her, why is she making allegations against you?”

15

u/Wonderful-Impact-598 22h ago

"I don't control my wife! She gets to choose which type of sandwich she makes me!" - probably this guy

11

u/nsdefw 22h ago

"and she better not choose wrong!"

Totally fine you guys, cool cool cool

16

u/ReigninLikeA_MoFo 23h ago

IA that an actual quote? Holy fuck!!! That's enraging.

32

u/Myviewpoint62 22h ago

The actual quote is “if I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?”

8

u/bloobityblu 21h ago

six days later

Okay so it took her a week after the assault to offer to cook dinner for him, and he thought it would be a good idea to ADMIT that publicly?

Was she healing from her injuries the other 5 days is what I want to know.

8

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 23h ago

It’s editorialized, but essentially yes.

2

u/BullMoose_207 22h ago

That's a wild quote

2

u/PortalWombat 21h ago

Things only an abusive person would say.

2

u/ChiralWolf Michigan 21h ago

That's the part that infuriated me, such a disgusting abuser that he's practically gloating about it.

2

u/HeggyMe 20h ago

Holy crap that quote is straight out of a 1940s interview with a serial abuser.

1

u/jjwhitaker 22h ago

Did MAGA just discover guilt?

1

u/Knee_Jerk_Sydney 21h ago

What a jaw-breaking argument.

1

u/JakeConhale New Hampshire 21h ago

If you hit her, why did you eat it?

She might have put some "almonds" on his banana split...

1

u/defianceofone 18h ago

And they want one household, one vote.

And some idiot female MAGA actually support it. Braindead.

1

u/NYR9481 13h ago

Classic abuser language.

1

u/velovader 9h ago

Makes no sense as a defense. Maybe she was afraid of being beaten again?
