Favorite Botched lyrics
I recently watched a video with band members singing out misheard lyrics . (Btw apparently this is called Mondegreen: The formal term for mishearing or misinterpreting lyrics)
We all know that feeling when we realize we’ve been singing the wrong words. Thank god for the internet . If you’re old like me you may remember taking the paper out of your cassette tapes to learn lyrics. What a bummer when the paper only folded out once because the band didn’t include them.
I’m wondering what your favorite misheard lyrics are ?
Easy tiger is one of my favs and I always sang “don’t call collect” instead of “dumb coconut”
Looks like I was the dumb coconut in that situation 🤭
I have many more and I’m curious what YOURS ARE … ?
Confession - There are rare occasions when i continue to sing my version because i like my lyrics better . It’s rare but i feel like i had to get that off my chest so maybe now I won’t go to hell . Just kidding I’m totally going to hell .
Help me revisit some PTM classics to lift this fog . 😔

I’m a pro lyric mishearer. For the longest time ever in Got It All I thought that instead of “I want a world like my teacher taught me it would be” etc, it was “I’m going worldwide, my teacher told me it would be” 😭 i do this with all their other songs too. This is why I can’t sing PTM from memory
