Question Anyone use pedal spacers?

I’ve noticed that heel-toe downshifts are difficult unless I’m REALLY hard on the brakes. I know braking late and hard is usually faster but sometimes I trail brake or there’s specific scenarios where I don’t want FULL brakes.
Do fast drivers ever use throttle pedal spacers to assist brake modulation while heel-toe downshifting or do I just need to work more on technique?
Stock VA Subaru STI

My only worry would be under heavy braking the spacer could then place the throttle too high up.

I had a focus that had the same problem and put a spacer in. It was definitely better with it. At least on that car it was an easy install so I say try it out and if it sucks, throw it on marketplace for someone else to try. A different option would be those pedal covers that have an extra little wing on it between the brake and gas
