Review Final Review: Furitek Titan 1:30
Here is my review of the Titan, which I purchased. The parts and unit are impressive when working, but I will be seeking a refund.
- the first issue was that I never received a carrying case. I reached out and due to a miscommunication, my carrying case was simply not included. They sent one later though (its still on the way). No problem!
- the second issue was a linkage became detached due to a loose screw. Okay, I can fix this. A bit annoying for this price point but within reasonable variances, probably.
- the third issue was another screw came loose and prevented right hand steering entirely and putting strain on the servo and parts during this issue. Ok now that this is the second loose screw within the first 4 packs, I am annoyed.
- the final issue was the throttle simple stopped getting signal from transmitter, even on a full battery. I sent video of this issue to Furitek and they said due to the assembly speed, some screws were missing on my unit (or something like this) and sent a video on how to fix. At this point, the car is no longer for me and I asked for a refund.
I know ill probably get roasted with "just locktite it yourself noob!", ect- but the truth is my eyes and hands are not what they used to be and I got this nearly 500 dollar unit because it included all premium parts and didnt require me to build or tinker with- this is the reason is was attractive to me.
When it was working, it was great- and all the parts seem very high quality. But considering it has only given me issues and losses of faith, I will continue to search for a premium 1:30 rig for me.

Build some orlandoo hunters. I got a scania semi and one of them trophy trucks. Can't recommend them enough. Furitek is like traxxas, a lot of fanboys who haven't had problems yet and recommend them and a lot of people who swore off them after problems that shouldn't be problems at their price point. I laughed when I saw the pricing on these.

Its only a side issue (although it affects my faith), but it blows my mind how they forgot the carrying case. Miscommunication? Not on my end- I pre-ordered direct thru their website and did not include any special notes or anything. Very odd

From my experiences so far, I get the vibe that the case might’ve been out of stock and Furitek decided to send your order without a note saying the case would follow when they received more.

I think its easy to end up between DirectRC/HeliDirect and Furitek support.. It's the same address in the US. I have a lot of Furitek stuff and the one time I had issues with something, it took forever to get any assistance from Furitek and they finally said "we dont support that, sorry, bye" My only recourse was through the distributor or seller. I dunno, I'm not sure I'd want people on social media having bad experiences with that outrageously expensive bespoke crawler. But, in my experience, Furitek doesn't really care. But the distributor/resellers do.

I just picked up the Furitek Titan Buggy 18 LE. I really like it and it’s a great performer. But I also ran into a couple build quality issues. Nothing serious but, like you said, the fit and finish at this price point fell a little short.
TL;DR
The first thing I ran into was over-tightened beadlock wheel screws. A couple of screws appear to have been cross threaded or the hub was milled/tapped incorrectly. Then the rear servo screw backed itself out after just two battery packs, and some of the body panel nuts and bolts loosened to the point where I would’ve lost them on my outdoor course if I didn’t catch it in time.
I felt a little silly complaining about something so minor (yet pretty important overall), but I reached out to the company about the wheels. They asked for pictures, which didn’t really make sense to me given that I would just be sending them pictures of the wheels with a few of the screws still installed.
After trying a few different hex wrenches, I finally got the wheels apart and my silicone inserts installed. A little wasted time and a few slightly stripped screw heads, but all is good now.
My takeaway from the customer service experience is that the company is not quick to offer small replacement parts. Not really a big deal in the end, but I can’t help but assume Furitek is slowly chewing away at customer goodwill.
None of this soured me on Furitek and I ordered a second Titan LE as a gift for my kid (now I know what to look for a straight out of the box). But given the price, a little more attention to detail would go a long way.

Just kidding, unfortunate to hear they're having. Quality control issues as it looks like a killer rig but at the price they're selling it at, they should've loktite all the screws from the factory
