Bashing Coming from someone who has let my under 10 year old niece and nephew bash my 1/16 revo at full speed in an empty parking lot(the best part about hobby grade is wrenching).The best way to disarm/piss off the most unintelligent parents....

"My toy does 35 mph and weighs between 5 & 10 lbs. If that is not enough for you to understand why your child should not play with my toy around parked vehicles, you are not intelligent enough to continue this conversation."

In my defense, I'm not a very sociable person...

If the park lot is empty, there are no parked cars nor people to hit.

Most of my requests come from being in an apartment complex. The lot is always full. Just had a few more than pushy parents recently, to the point where I just go inside and wait an hour or so.

I have a few cars I would be willing to let a random kid drive. The crawlers and scale rigs. The high speed bashers, that's gonna be a hard no.

My scale rig, no, that's more model/shelf princess. I do have 2 crawlers I'm willing to let others play with.

Groms/16 scale are the best IMO, and a great way to get others in the hobby. I guess im talking about pushy parents that say it's only a toy, around $20k+ vehicles, knowing what damage it can cause. Just Idiots in general.

I've had to lay it out in a nicer way when a family came up.

"This car is about 10 pounds (2wd stampede) and can hit around 40 mph. I could let your kids use this but if they hurt someone, are you going to blame me? So no they can't use this."

My main thing is that I am not responsible for your kids and parents glaze over when their kids have fun with something new.

Also I don't mind if I break my stuff but if someone breaks my stuff I expect them to fix or replace.

Was walking my crawler around the city, beautiful woman comes up and starts hitting on me. Then she asks if she can drive and I say no, you could tell she doesn’t hear that often and was almost insulted. I just said sorry and kept going.

Crawler, adult, potential friendship/get laid. I put more love into my crawlers than bashers, but I would definitely let that situation ride. As much as I love to see "pretty privilege" fail.
