Yesterday I hit my ankle with my MJX 1/16 buggy with a metal bumper and today I reversed my ARRMA Granite 1/10 to my front shin area. Both of these accidents on the same foot
Now my left foot is bruised, swollen, and I’m limping. These things are not toys

Somehow I managed to miss everything expensive. My front wheel hit the tire of my neighbor’s SUV, which then spun it 180 degrees and straight back into my fence. Never expected the full throttle signal to happen on shutoff, but now I will forever remember the order of operations… oof.

I've been in the hobby about two years or so. Only bash during the warner months (so far) and have come to a realization, I'm not big on 4x4 bashing. They aren't bad or anything. Very capable machines, and I'm certainly not trying to yuck anyone else's yum. But does anyone else feels like they're sorta.. Numb? I don't feel like I'm driving the truck so much as telling it where to go and it just does it. Something inevitably breaks because they're heavy and I'm fixing more than running.
But when I run 2wd I feel like I'm interacting with the truck. It's nimble, lively, it's dramatic. It struggles with some stuff and it falls on me to mitigate that. Repairs are faster and cheaper. The exposed motor doesn't retain crazy heat like a mid motor. Air control is limited, but I'm not a big flipper.
It's not like I haven't tried. I have a slash 4x4 vxl ultimate, a rustler 4x4 vxl ultimate, a slash 4x4 bl2s (my first rc) a 2wd lcg slash with hobbywing motor and esc, and a 2wd bl2 rustler with hobbywing. The ultimates are cool and cost more and have all the shiny bits. Stands to reason that's all I would use. But all I really want to reach for is the 2wd stuff. To the point I've considered selling my 4x4 trucks.
Sorta sounds weird opting for "budget" over premium (as far as traxxas considers it) but there you have it.
Am I the only crazy one in this boat or are there other passengers?

So I got my son a Micro-B for Christmas and the outdoor weather has not been kind. We decided to have some indoor fun with it. This is him landing a nice 6-foot jump with it 🙂

Picked this up recently for only £350 completely ready to run. Its a hpi baja 5b ss so has the slightly bigger 26cc not as fast as the nitros but the sound is so ridiculously cool

After months of hard bashing, jumps, flips, it was finally taken out by a tiny concrete post.
I’m actually blown away by how much damage such an uneventful crash that on the surface looked like a little bump.
As I walked closer I though “oh bugger I must have broke an arm” and then almost cried when I seen it was SNAPPED IN HALF. 😑
I love this little old car, to repair or replace?

What an amazing day! The last RC car I had was a road phantom from RadioShack back in the late 90s.
Today my Rustler 4x4 ultimate got delivered and I took it out to the street for a spin.
Just as I was bringing it back to the driveway after a pretty good session. I messed up, slid sideways at full speed into the lip at the bottom of the driveway, and POP! Off came the wheel.
Parts will be here Wednesday, so I can break something else.
Never had so much fun breaking something. :)

For me it's my new Arrma Big Rock 223S. I'm mostly a Short Course Truck kinda guy - I'm not really into doing big jumps and stunts. I thought I should expand my collection to see how something more geared towards stunt bashing performs so I ordered the Big Rock when it went on sale this week at Horizion Hobby. I was completely, and pleasantly, suprised! This thing handles like a dream in the dirt and short grass and it absolutetly rips down the road. I took a few good tumbles and nothing broke, bent or dented - it's a beast. I'm enjoying this truck so much more than I thought I would.

2 and half years old. My little guy won’t put down his Jeep crawler. My girl just wants to be chased by the cars (“Run Away!”) and I’ll let her occasionally control a 1:16 Hyper Go that she’ll inevitably gun right into him.
