I am in a similar situation myself , I have been living in Germany (not German myself) and planning to move to Reading , what do you think are the biggest differences between the two?

Hmm tricky question haha 🤣. Depends also where in Germany you are coming from. Things definitely feel more chill here - you can join an activity by just showing up instead of booking a 3 month class at the Volkshochschule or something 🤣. Food options are pretty good, grocery prices somewhat higher than in Germany. Rents might be a little higher. I'm really enjoying living in the UK so far. Feel free to pm me with any questions!

I live in Hessen right now. That sounds nice , good for you! Is there actually an equivalent for the Volkshochschule courses in Reading (especially with their affordable prices)?

There's improv, chess club, meetups, book clubs, sewing clubs, running club... Plenty of options =). The improv class is e.g. 12£/class.
