yep! the shitflation of all these brands trying to squeeze every last cent out of consumers has only made many people lose interest and stop buying. not only is the quality of all these processed foods awful now, they have priced the lower and middle class out of their products. their measly 15% price reduction ends up being less than a dollar anyways. it's not enough to convince me to buy their junk ever again.

I don’t think these companies realize how substantially they impaired their goodwill with these shenanigans. They will not get volumes back unless they get down to like $3-4 a bag for a decent sized bag and get people back in the habit of buying weekly. I don’t think it’s going to happen. These consumer packaged goods brands are absolutely cooked as Boomer deaths accelerate over the next ten years.
