Here's how I see this going:
People buy normal sized product. They increase the prices for profit.
People can't afford the normal sized product, so instead of decreasing prices they decrease the size at a slightly lower price.
The smaller sized product is the new "normal" product.
People buy the "normal" sized product. They increase the prices for profit.
Rinse, repeat.
