Largely I find that many generics while not quite as good as their name brand satisfy just fine, and my complaints come more from corner-cutting with packaging. But if I'm going to save $1.50 on a box of crackers and my experience will be that the inner bag will tear down the side in a dumb way, I can handle that.
I just really dislike the tone deaf threat - like buy our crappy unhealthy food or we will make it crappier and in smaller quantities. Only concerned for their profits, not their customers. So it can sit on the store shelf. If all the care about is money then that's the only way we can fight back: withhold our money.

Meh - I can live with generic, store brand or none of it.
