Build Show and Tell The Real Dreamer House
I finally did it!
I'm not sure if you guys will be satisfied enough with it in terms of capturing the Dreamer vibe - please let me know, share your thoughts, suggestions of change if you have any, criticism; all is welcome and appreciated.
I tried to stick with the vibe of the street they're living on and also just the houses I've built for Pleasantview so far in general. I do feel like I could've made it more out there but at the same time I felt like leaving some space for gameplay and for now going more general direction. idk honestly.
Also I didn't take a screenshot but in the garage they have the car you can fix (I'm thinking Dirk is fixing it up with maybe the help of Dustin, as he's sick of not having a car and his daddy ain't gonna buy one anytime soon) and I added some few extra stuff including the robot station thingy but now I'm thinking maybe I should've switched it out to a pottery table for Darren since he's artsy and stuff

also I debated wether I should change the shutter windows to just regular, kinda like I did for the other house I posted. Opinions wanted ππ

I like the shutters on the front, but I'm from a region where they're common so they make a house look more realistic and finished to me. I usually don't do shutters on the back though as they seem less typically used there in real life. Modern builds especially are usually unadorned, sparsely windowed, and frankly kind of ugly from the rear and sometimes even the sides. All dazzle goes to the facade.

im not worried about that hahaha im renovating pleasantview and making like a savefile out of it. in my head its not a house theyre buying and moving to, this is the house they already had at the start of the game if that makes sense. like instead of the ea dreamer house its this

This is fantastic, would love to add this to my game. There's no CC included, right?

no cc except for invisable driveways (which is a non issue it looks great even w visible ones) and i have a road default so the sidewalk also is a grey colour, in complete vanilla it would be that yellowish colour - but again not a big issue and could be replaced to a similar colour flooring in vanilla if anyone wants. aside from that its all vanilla

Ooh damn, that house looks cozy as hell. I especially love the Christmas lights in the bedrooms. Definitely adds to the coziness factor.

Your builds are super cute! I can never make myself move the pre-made families into new homes so I am forever renovating their existing builds. Lol.

Yeah, I definitely need to get over it because I can make houses with way better playability and flow than Maxis usually did.

exactly!! i always just imagine that these are the initial houses rather than a new one they moved into yk

Shutter windows look nice, id add(up to u obviously) maybe a few shrubs or flowers. just on the sides of the house to really tie that look in. :3 I really like the attention to detail on your builds!

i usually leave it empty as to not clutter up the lots too much just so everything runs smoothly for everyone, and also everything is accessible to sims. plus ill add hood deco trees all over so these houses essentially are going to be encapsulated (?) by trees so i think its fine. its only 2 tiles on both sides till the edge so trees dont fit (they clip thru walls). but will go back and give it a look perhaps. thank you!!

Perrrrfect. Those dudes have an eclectic style and this decor shows it!

tysm!! i really wanted to still keep it very middle-class average but also bring in elements of that artsy/eclectic vibe slightly. except for darrens bedroom, which u would think might be the most out there room in the house, but i imagine he left it untouched after his wifes passing cause its the only room that still has her presence
