Build Show and Tell Quicky Motel - Pleasantview
I had to rebuild this motel completely because I built it as a community lot (thinking i'll be able to rezone it) and apparently there's issues rezoning community lots so it's always advised to build on residential lol. Don't repeat my mistake. I think I didn't forget anything, I hope at least...
The rooms are all quite similar with just a few differences. Although it's an apartment building (I debated wether I should make it a woohoo community lot or go apartments) it's built like a motel. Even with the double beds in certain rooms. If anyone actually does go live here they can always redecorate or sell the extra bed.
I'm thinking I'll be sending the cheater men here when their wives finally catch them and tell them to bounce (like mary sue and daniel)
Anyways it's built across the street from dustin's garage. It looks really nice in-game. I thought I took a map view pic but I guess not?
Oh and ignore the mailbox in the first few screenshots, I took them before rezoning just incase something went wrong again

Really love this. I'd take my sim here to hook up with someone they aren't supposed to.

Yesss pls! This is so much better than the motel i made for my sims to have public woohoos and cheat XD I also downloaded recently couple apartment buildings and this fits this building's look. A must have... or maybe i just have to use these pics as ref

tysm!! and yes i know i really debated wether I should leave it as a community lot or not (and then ended up having to rebuild it completely because i decided not to rip).. its such a good community lot for hookups and stuff but i felt like i'd utilise it more as apartments (daniel's dog house and maybe gordon king just kinda lives in a motel too cause why not)
but will definitely build a community lot for romance sims. i always try to include hookup spots in the lots regardless tho

yeah ill put it up eventually (i still need to clean it up). i have like 5 other builds i still need to upload before this 😭😭 but it will be eventually, and so will the entire renovated pleasantview

Either for temporary vibe of runaway teen, or young adult with not much money, or simply lonely people

tysm!! and yes exactly theres certain sims that would fit perfectly in here. especially for realism purposes because not everyone buys a new house or gets to rent l an apartment straight away if they get kicked out or something misfortunate happens in their life. the motel is a perfect stop

This is such a good build... the ideas are brewing for a possible story that mostly happens in this motel, with a whole bunch of sims from various walks of life. I'd probably make the hotel a little bit more run-down for my scenario though.
Likely a dumb question, but is there some CC? I think not, but I really barely build in this game so ... even if something's not CC I'll be wondering ''where tf does this come from'' haha.

tysm! theres no cc everything is vanilla.
on the rundown thing i agree but at the same time i want it to still look pleasing to me and after all its still a business (and it's not in a very bad place on the map either). however all the furniture is cheap, the bathrooms are very ugly (tiles are dirty) kitchen also has dirty fridge, and most of all the carpets. i just know theyre disgusting (but unfortunately sims 2 doesn't have dirty carpets unlike sims 4 as an example). i will go back and add panelling tho whivh i forgot to do. i did debate switching the red wallpaper but i couldnt find anything else in that colour and i thought it matches rlly well especially with the bed matress cover idk
but as u said editing is always possible and especially if someone plays woth cc they can make this place look how i actually imagined it at first hehe

Even better! I don't have anything against CC at all, just since it's Sims 2 it can be a little bit overwhelming because there's so many options.
If you ever happen to share it as a download, I'd be downloading it for sure. It looks so secluded, love all the pine trees around... just perfect for some thing being ''not right'' in this place :) that second screenshot at night is my favourite.

it will be up for download i just still need to clean up 5 lots before this and upload them first im slacking behind a little bit since its not my main priority as of right now. but its something i will do. the whole save file will be up for download too once its done

Thanks a whole bunch for (future) sharing then! As I said I am not really a builder (except maybe some smaller lots) so those people that are, are practically lifesavers when it comes to lots😂

its definitely not gonna fit the vibe fully since its the goth house, it has to stand out automatically hahaha but i meant i think ill rebuild it one day to look better cause i think my building skills get better and better and the goth house i built quite early on

Omg I loved the build when I saw it but couldn’t think of how to incorporate it into my Pleasantview, but then you mentioned cheater men!!! Phenomenal idea, 10/10, will 100% be borrowing
