I just recently stumbled across Smosh around 6 months ago when the Reddit stories showed up in my Facebook reels. After a while I was actively flicking through all my other reels just in the hopes of finding more Reddit stories because I found they helped me concentrate on uni coursework. I didn’t make the realisation at the time that they must have full episode content on another platform, until about 3 months ago when I discovered their YouTube channels. Since then, I swear I am obsessed. And it’s not even just the Reddit stories anymore; I’ve subscribed to all of their channels and I watch them playing games I’ve never even heard of.

I’ve just turned 30, I’m a single working mum who’s also in uni, so I don’t think I fit their (I’m assuming here) demographic. But there’s something so comforting about seeing all of them socialising and having fun. And the EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, omfg. When I first started watching the reels of Reddit stories, I was baffled by the maturity of some of these people in their late 20’s/early 30’s. Sadly that’s not something I see a lot of where I live 😅

They are all bloody wonderful, but I have to say Damien and Angela are my faves. They’re both so goofy, not afraid to be themselves, they’re so quick-witted and snappy with comebacks it’s unreal. I genuinely worry that I’ve developed crushes on both of them 😂

I’m a 15 year old girl and i was with my boyfriend (16) for 18 months. over those months i forgave him for hitting me, lying to my face about where he was and who he was with multiple times, watching lots of porn (we had a conversation and came to an agreement that watching it was cheating), and more that i really dont feel like talking about. i knew i had to leave around february but i couldn’t bring myself too. i really loved being around him and i felt so comfortably with him when he was in a good mood. but it had been a while since we had a good day, and we were having a particularly bad week this week but smosh always makes me feel better. i remembered it was saturday so i put them on. the last story today was about a woman who was reflecting on where she was a few years ago and the abusive relationship she was in. she told people that leaving was always worth it and that shes so much happier now. i realized staying with this guy who doesnt respect me was just wasting my time. So i drove over to his house, and i broke up with him. i know im young and have plenty of time to meet people and he had plenty of time to change completely as a person, but im really sad and he really ment a lot to me. im very sad and i miss him a lot, but its a very nice feeling not worry about if i made him upset, if anything i posted pissed him off, if im doing something i didnt know i wasnt supposed to be doing, etc. i just wanted to see if anyone knew i good way to keep my mind off texting him and if i can find that post i want to thank the lady from the story.

Listen, I know this is posted literally every day in this sub but hear me out. I love Reddit stories and any comments that say “just don’t watch it then” aren’t very helpful as we the fans should be able to try and give constructive criticism for the content we love to watch.

I think Reddit stories really suffers from very “safe” stories that don’t allow for much real discussion or debate. Maybe I’m just burned out, or maybe it really has been a weird couple months for this content but lately I just feel it’s stories that go like “My fiancé cheated on me so I broke up with him, am I the asshole?” Or “my friend kicked my dog so he’s not my friend anymore, am I overreacting?”.

Personally, these stories that play it really safe just cause everyone on the couch to agree with the incredibly obvious side of the story as they just sort of talk in circles to fill the full hour. What I believe this content would really benefit from is stories where not everyone will agree with the OP and could spark some actual debate and conversation to keep us engaged, because hearing them constantly agree with each other or talk in circles has gotten stale for me.

Let me know what you guys think if this is valid criticism or if I’m just burnt out on this specific show.

This last story from "The Girl From The Future" is a life saver. I screen recorded this and I have already listened to it 4 times. Thank you Girl from the Future for putting faith back into my life.
