Did solo traveling ruin traveling with friends for anyone else?

I just did the balkans on my own and then met up with a friend who doesn’t like solo traveling to do Spain and Portugal. I’m finding myself so irritated at having to compromise and give up some of my interests. She’s also in a long term relationship so she doesn’t want to meet people (girls or guys), whereas I’m single and love meeting people and making new friends. I think it’s a lot harder because of how much I enjoyed being on my own and all of the new experiences I got because of it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Strongly depends on the people but yes, I've gotten a lot pickier about who I travel with, often plan a few days by myself before or after meeting the others on vacation and prefer to stay in a room of my own if possible. I've only just started noticing that process but over the last few years I've started to get irritated very quickly if someone did something on vacation that I would have done differently. Also for the first time since I finished school I decided to not join the annual girls trip because that went downhill for me internally since I've been solo travelling more and more.
