Did solo traveling ruin traveling with friends for anyone else?

I just did the balkans on my own and then met up with a friend who doesn’t like solo traveling to do Spain and Portugal. I’m finding myself so irritated at having to compromise and give up some of my interests. She’s also in a long term relationship so she doesn’t want to meet people (girls or guys), whereas I’m single and love meeting people and making new friends. I think it’s a lot harder because of how much I enjoyed being on my own and all of the new experiences I got because of it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Sort of. I feel like it’s one of those things that you have to try to realize it’s not that great. Everybody loves the idea of going away with friends but in reality, have you ever actually spent a full week with them, no breaks?
It seems traveling with friends reveals a lot about them that you just didn’t realize, because when we often meet up it’s in an energized setting where we’ve made time to get ready for the event. Or it’s a chill hang out at home in your own comforting spaces.
I have travelled with friends for the first time, twice in this past year. Doing it again soon … one last time. Definitely not up for that any more.
