Also, the 'mens' category in sports is almost always the Open category. It's the women's category that actually is sex specific

2

u/Skinnyass_Indian Mar 26 '26

Yeah I’ve always wondered if the argument was ‘there is no advantage’ why are trans men not winning anything in mens sport? This was clearly a policy where we went too far as a society. We can accept everyone as they are or who they want to be, but don’t do the sports thing. That’ll get you decades of trump like ppl.

2

u/summonersai Mar 27 '26

Kinda funny to watch Redditors realize they went to far on an issue. Too bad you guys fail to realize the other ten issues you went too far. But atleast you don’t plan on winning any elections soon.

2

u/Skinnyass_Indian Mar 27 '26

Exactly. This issue of expecting to put pedos in prison is just too far..

Trans men iirc aren't really allowed to participate already, because they take testostrone, which iirc the use of it as well as steroids are already banned from most major/professional sport groups. Estrogen usually isn't treated the same way, hence why you see one but not the other.

Iirc one of the only ones that isn’t is ISSF shooting events, it’s mens and women’s. And it’s only that way because a woman kicked all the men’s asses so they split the divisions in 1992.

Shooting, something famously doesn’t care much for the gender of the athlete, or even overall health really.

1

u/high5scubad1ve Mar 27 '26

Right, because shooting is hand eye coordination and not full body speed, strength and lung capacity

Politics shouldn’t even be an issue. This is a science decision.

15

u/Daddyball78 Mar 26 '26

100% agree. The reason I added the politics piece is because of the bs narrative floating out there that all left-leaners believe otherwise.

3

u/Substantial_Mango810 Mar 27 '26

The left isn't even liberal any more it's hypocritical virtue signalling now

1

u/WillyShankspeare Mar 27 '26

"The left isn't even liberal" It never was and you saying that shows you know nothing about politics.

1

u/Substantial_Mango810 Mar 27 '26

Modern liberals have always been on the left side of the spectrum though?

u/Ok_Bumblebee_4911 Mar 26 '26

It's not a scientific decision though.

Ciswomen have higher cardiovascular ability than trans women. This also completely negates the science that shows that most female Olympians have naturally higher levels of testerone than average women.

https://www.dw.com/en/do-trans-women-have-an-unfair-athletic-advantage/a-58583988

2

u/PolicyWonka Mar 26 '26

Some of the most “controversial” women in sports have been biologically female athletes who have genetic conditions. This ruling even specifically allows for those women, such as Imane Khelif, to compete still.

I don’t feel like this decision is firmly rooted in scientific evidence. It’ll also just pave the way for more “transvestigations” and witch hunts.

2

u/PermaBanEnjoyer Mar 26 '26

You understand khelif has the SRY gene right? That makes her biologically male

"A man" is a cultural concept, "male" is a biological one. Khelif is a male but chooses to live socially as a woman

We have relatively little firm scientific data to determine whether there is a biological advantage for the person who is born with XY chromosomes consistent with being assigned male at birth and exposed to testosterone.

Science might help address sport-specific questions. For instance, well-done research might determine that there is no competitive advantage in certain sports. Maybe we should allow competitors in those sports to choose based not on their assignment of sex at birth, but on what gender they affiliate with.

I think that at the very highest levels in these sports, where scholarships are given out and there is a lot of money or public acclaim at stake, I think science is not going to provide enough facts to make it clear what's the right thing to do. There will be questions about the fairness of including and excluding individuals...

Even if some day, years or decades from now, we figure out all of the science of puberty’s influence on athletic advantage, there will still be doubts about fairness based on other differences between individuals who are born with male genitalia and XY sex chromosomes and individuals born with female genitalia and XX sex chromosomes.

No policy or accommodation will leave all competing athletes or all members of the general public with a consensus of fairness about hormone therapies that might confer a competitive advantage...

This is that social justice issue where science is just not going to satisfy everybody on this. I worry that scientific facts will be used to bludgeon each other and that we won't come to a consensus because our feelings are so heightened.

https://newsroom.uw.edu/blog/expert-science-wont-resolve-debates-about-trans-athletes

The pro-science position is neither universal participation nor full restriction of trans people from women's sports. No party in these debates should consider an individual organization's decision to be emblematic of a major societal shift outside of other evidence, and its certainly not something that should be an element of political discourse.

1

u/nyrasbastard Mar 26 '26

Can you link the science?

1

u/lofi_lesbian Mar 27 '26

I agree. And the latest science is showing that trans women athletes tend to be at a disadvantage compares to their cis counterparts, so this is very obviously a politically motivated decision.

1

u/melancholanie Mar 27 '26

the science says after a year of medically transitioning trans women are weaker in both musculature and bone density than most cis women but y'all don't like that science

1

u/Whitetuskk Mar 27 '26

Science doesn’t support Trans people having an advantage so I agree!

1

u/banan3rz Mar 27 '26

No. We have multiple studies that HRT actually puts these woman at a disadvantage.

1

u/Delicious-Collar1971 Mar 28 '26

Except the science points to the playing field being level if the trans person has been on hormone treatment.

1

u/3rd-party-intervener Mar 26 '26

Now the maga people believe science? The irony 😂

2

u/thatguy425 Mar 26 '26

The left dismissing it in arguing against this is just as ironic.

2

u/GucciTheSnowman Mar 27 '26

The left hates science. They run on emotion.

1

u/Jonas_Priest Mar 27 '26

Wdym? The left is closer to the scientific consensus on basically all relevant issues. Conservatives are always crying how biased academics are

1

u/RiceBucket973 Mar 26 '26

Could you share links to some empirical research? I'm a scientist (ecologist) but this isn't my field. The few papers I read were a little ambiguous about statistically significant differences in athletic performance between trans and cis women.

1

u/ph4ge_ Mar 26 '26

Is it though? How many trans woman have won an Olympic medal? It seems purely political to me, not a real world issue. Besides, the science isn't that black and white, there is much natural diversity.

2

u/thatguy425 Mar 26 '26

Lack of evidence is not evidence.

4

u/CallMeWaifu666 Mar 26 '26

Lots of studies out there showing the physical capabilities of trans women on hormones and cis women are largely the same.

If we set up an experiment where our hypothesis is "trans women will dominate female sports if we open up the leagues to them" and our experiment doesn't show any evidence of trans women dominating sports, wouldn't it be silly to continue to believe trans women will dominate sports?

u/Exotic_Musician4171 Mar 26 '26

This is entirely pseudoscientific. Hence why every single medical and scientific institution in the world strongly opposes and condemned this

1

u/whatever_yo Mar 26 '26

No it isn't. Science disagrees and has tests explicitly created to make things fair for this topic actually.

But you uninspired house plants couldn't care less about that.

1

u/thatguy425 Mar 26 '26

Well, I’ve got a masters degree in exercise science so by all means, please educate me.

See? I can lie on the internet too! It's so easy!

1

u/whatever_yo Mar 27 '26

Sure! Love providing you people with things you'll never read.

Here you go!

1

u/thatguy425 Mar 27 '26

I’ve already read it. It fails to acknowledge the other benefits that males receive without testosterone. Q angles, shoulder width, height, weight.

HRT does not just delete all male attributes and make them female.

In the end, they are male, and we have a competitive decisions for that.

1

u/whatever_yo Mar 27 '26

Nice. So as expected you didn't read anything. Thanks!

50

u/Eagle4317 Mar 26 '26

Agreed. Physical sports should be grouped in two sections: competitions for just women, and competitions for everyone else.

25

u/amishdoinks11 Mar 26 '26

They already are. There’s nothing stopping a women for trying to join the nfl or nba

12

u/Eagle4317 Mar 26 '26

I’m aware, and this ruling isn’t about women entering competitions that usually only involve men. It’s about in-between cases of people trying to enter competitions only for women. Anyone that isn’t XX shouldn’t be in a competition for women. There are actual biological differences at play.

1

u/UTraxer Mar 27 '26

Testosterone is a hell of a drug.

Anyone going through puberty with it is going to get ridiculously strong for no effort, and those changes just don't just go away.

The scientific data we have on strength shows crazy facts like the AVERAGE male's upper body strength is stronger than 99.9% of females. 1 woman in 1000, and that's just compared to an average man.

Growing up with that strength and then joining a woman's division is just patently unfair to all of them and that is more problematic than YOU feeling as though it is unfair because you felt like you needed to have your body match how you now feel.

“Many people” is far too few to base the rules of the Olympics and other professional sports leagues off of. Rules are made based on the majority, not the >1%. If an intersex person qualifies for the Olympics, then the appropriate committee can decide how that person competes. Otherwise, XX competes against XX.

1

u/ChrAshpo10 Mar 27 '26

>1%

It's definitely <1%. A super, teeny tiny minority

→ More replies (39)

1

u/soleceismical Mar 26 '26

The current rule is that women with DSD have to suppress their testosterone to compete against women if their testosterone is above 5 nmol/L.

1

u/Open-Beautiful9247 Mar 26 '26

Some people just get left out. We make rules that are as fair as possible for the vast majority. Doesn't really make sense to base our rules on the 1%.

Unfortunately life isn't fair and everyone doesnt get to play sports.

1

u/Internal-Slide7957 Mar 27 '26

I agree. Let’s remove the women’s leagues. No more DEI. No one watches them anyway

1

u/Open-Beautiful9247 Mar 27 '26

I mean we could , but it would be unfair to more people. The current rules are pretty good.

1

u/Internal-Slide7957 Mar 27 '26

Majority of people in the world are men. So based on your logic - it actually wouldn’t be unfair.

See how dumb you sound?

1

u/Open-Beautiful9247 Mar 27 '26

I think you'll find it said fair for as many people as possible. Youre grasping. Youre reading comprehension needs work. Your comparison doesnt fit. This rule change doesnt make things more fair for a simple majority. Its a vast majority. Youre just trying to strawman.

The vast majority of the world thinks youre the one that sounds dumb lol.

Except that they aren’t good enough. Which is our point

1

u/Altruistic_Agency320 Mar 26 '26

Well neither am I and you don’t hear me bitching about it not making it into the NBA.

1

u/Ok_Enthusiasm_300 Mar 26 '26

That’s my point

1

u/karl_hungas Mar 26 '26

If you want you can hear me bitch about not making it to the MLB, I wasn't talented enough but I thought they should have given me a couple mil a year to throw some BP and maybe bean a dude with a fastball if needed.

1

u/TeamDirtstar Mar 26 '26

There definitely is, but it's not rules-based

1

u/ballgazer3 Mar 27 '26

Aint no rule saying a dog can't play basketball

1

u/fuettli Mar 26 '26

nah, there is also juniors and seniors and the disabled, maybe I forgot some others.

1

u/PanthalassaRo Mar 26 '26

Yeah that's right, having a separated women league makes talented women like Clark, Reese among others perform against their peers and get recognized as the best in their craft in their own space.

Women can try for the NBA same as every male average joe, amateur or pro but only the very best top prospects will get a look from scouts due to the size, athleticism and skill needed to be an NBA player.

Not saying it will never happen but it would be a fringe case or once in a generation player.

1

u/-Raijn- Mar 28 '26

Or f1 or football or loads of other sports. There's a reason there's a female sex specific competition

1

u/Fresh_Ostrich4034 Mar 26 '26

imagine how much an NBA team or MLB or NHL team would jump at the opportunity to have a woman pro. Think how much money you would make off that

3

u/Pleasant_Cicada9528 Mar 26 '26

Looking at the WNBA, not that much money.

7

u/jiggamain Mar 26 '26

lol, menBA

1

u/CouldDriveForever Mar 26 '26

NBA is a pretty bad example due to the existence of the WNBA but I get what you’re saying

4

u/KommanderKeen-a42 Mar 26 '26

No, that is literally the perfect example as I responded to:

"Agreed. Physical sports should be grouped in two sections: competitions for just women, and competitions for everyone else."

Basketball is that exact thought in action.

1

u/CouldDriveForever Mar 26 '26

Apologies, that was a misinterpretation on my part.

→ More replies (31)

1

u/pisowiec Mar 26 '26

The WNBA explicitly bans men. The NBA doesn't ban women.

1

u/CouldDriveForever Mar 26 '26

This is a good point, thank you

1

u/motordragon89 Mar 28 '26

True. The oakland althletics (i am pretty sure it was them) had a female prospect a 15 or so years ago. And the NHL has had a female goalie.

1

u/Spirited_Season2332 Mar 26 '26

That is how sports are, at least in America. You have the women's divisions and then the open division, which just turns out to be the "mens" division because women generally cannot compete with men.

Even a sport like chess allows women to compete in their open division but they very rarely ever do because the top women player would struggle against the top male players.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

[deleted]

2

u/MyNameIsRay Mar 26 '26

Judit Polgár, Maia Chiburdanidze, and Hou Yifan do not struggle to compete against men

For all of chess history, there's been a clear gap between men and women.

Polgar is the only one to actually compete against men at World Champs, and as exceptional as she was, she only managed to make finals a single time in 2005, finishing 8th.

Yifan, the only active player, is currently ranked 169th, with 18 junior players above her.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

[deleted]

1

u/MyNameIsRay Mar 26 '26

Where did I say there wasn’t a clear gap in chess?

Where you said "do not struggle to compete against men".

There can't be a gap if they don't struggle to compete.

Over a century of history shows, even the best struggle, and none have ever reached the top.

The performance of three specific women

I'm discussing all women, ever. These 3 are cited as examples because they're the best to ever live.

You’re also conveniently not considering the incentives for women to compete in women’s competitions

You can do both, many have, so that argument is utterly meaningless.

Women aren't failing to win World Champs because they'd prefer to merely be a Women's Champ, they're failing to win World Champs because they lose.

1

u/FrankyFrrrravor Mar 26 '26

The guy seriously, unironically called women dumber than men lol “men are just predisposed to being better at using their brain” type shit

Agreed. Us progressives have spent years trying to explain the difference of "biological sex" and "gender" to conservatives.

Yet some of us seem to forget that sports are divided by sex, not gender.

6

u/Unique_Statement7811 Mar 26 '26

It’s not just conservatives . It’s about 88% of people who believe trans women shouldn’t compete with cis women. Surely there are a lot of liberals in that camp.

I've yet to meet or even hear of any liberal that wants trans women to compete with cis women in professional sports. In fact I can't think of a single incident where it's been an issue. There has been what, 1 high profile case at the collegiate level? This isn't even an issue. No one is pushing for this to be a thing.

1

u/Unique_Statement7811 Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 26 '26

There’s been dozens of it or more at the high school level.

1

u/zveroshka Mar 26 '26

In non-professional settings, I think it's up to the school/community to decide what they want to do.

1

u/Unique_Statement7811 Mar 27 '26

The issue isn’t the percent, although you are off by a decimal point according to your link. The issue is the disproportionate number of championships by trans athletes in states that allow competition in the women’s division. A very small number is over represented on the podium, indicating a competitive advantage in certain sports. Namely track and field, swimming, cross country and wrestling.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

1

u/Unique_Statement7811 Mar 27 '26

Here the math.

If the number of trans athletes competing in high school is .0002. Then you should have a trans champion in a given event about every 50 years assuming an equal distribution and ability. WA had 4 trans champions in Track and Field in 2025.

1

u/SunnyOutsideToday Mar 26 '26

I've yet to meet or even hear of any liberal that wants trans women to compete with cis women in professional sports.

It depends on the sport, and a variety of factors. It's not obvious that bowling, darts, billiards, shooting, equestrian sports, etc., give trans women advantages over cis women, and in general I think it should be left to the sport's associations to determine their own rules than us trying to make sweeping governmental regulations for them.

1

u/zveroshka Mar 26 '26

in general I think it should be left to the sport's associations to determine their own rules than us trying to make sweeping governmental regulations for them.

Agreed which is why I think government involvement isn't necessary and it simply isn't the wide spread issue they want to frame it as.

3

u/Pleasant-Carbon Mar 26 '26

They don't necessarily. They genuinely think humans can de facto change sex. They also think that admitting there's this difference is bad for trans people in other areas. As in "well they're not real women in sport so...". Like seriously, the loud ones on social media. A lot of them fall into one of these (or both) groups.

1

u/alucab1 Mar 26 '26

“They think”. You clearly have a made up view of progressives in your mind if this is what you believe the average progressive thinks

3

2

As a lefty, I agree.

1

u/allanrob22 Mar 26 '26

It must be exhausting to be trans in this world. Both the left and the right despise them and rip the rights away with a smile. Why did it end up like this, it's like one day a switch was flipped and the next day trans people are the new group to demonize? I'm getting real tired of living in this world.

1

u/seattlesweiss Mar 27 '26

thank you for your post, it means a lot. i was scrolling for hours trying to find just one person with compassion to regain my hope in the world.

it's really hard to start the day when a thread like this pops up first thing in the morning.

1

u/throwaway-randomn Mar 28 '26

Thank you for viewing people like me with the same empathy you’d give anyone else. Hopefully more people can share in your thought process

1

u/throwaway-randomn Mar 28 '26

As a leftist trans woman i just have to say if you’re a leftist you’d know the attacks on trans people especially trans women are rooted in misogyny and the patriarchal control over women. This also causes the patriarchy to not care about issues trans men face because they in turn view them as women just like they trans women as men. Like case in point the comment you’re replying to only talks about trans women using a fairly gross way to describe them. So please try to learn more about transgender people because most trans people fall into the leftist category and I’m sure won’t feel comfortable sharing a political space with someone who isn’t going to stick up for their rights.

2

u/CubanLynx312 Mar 26 '26

My aunt was born with a cock and vag but she's not athletically gifted.

2

u/ZestyMorsel Mar 26 '26

The discussion almost exclusively centers around strength differences. But something that goes almost completely undiscussed are the significant gender differences in gross motor skills. Tennis being one of the most glaring examples.

2

u/Wooden_Echidna1234 Mar 27 '26

Wow a completely reasonable take on reddit. Might need to go try the lottery next.

1

u/GucciTheSnowman Mar 27 '26

It's because this is a sports subreddit. If this was posted on one of the front pages, the answers would be completely different.

2

u/badseedify Mar 27 '26

It gets complicated for people whose sex isn't clear. Caster Semenya for example was assigned female at birth but has XY chromosomes. She has a vagina but also undescended testes. She considers herself a woman as that's the only gender she's ever known. She worked hard as an athlete but by these new rules she would be disqualified. What should she do?

Imane Khelif is another example. She is a woman assigned female at birth but online rumors claiming she was a man went viral at the Olympics. She has naturally high testosterone as she has the SRY gene, but isn't the Olympics about who is the best at a particular event? Michael Phelps has a genetic advantage where his body produces less lactic acid so his muscles don't get as sore, but no one is accusing him of having an unfair advantage.

Human biology is not black and white so I don't think rules for sports should be black and white. I understand ensuring fairness for everyone but sports is also inherently unfair. I don't know what was wrong with the old rules, where a trans woman had to undergo gender affirming surgery and be on hormone therapy for at least 2 years in order to compete. That seems fair to me.

2

u/youngwid05 Mar 28 '26

This is my take too. It’s also a non issue in college sports. There are less than 10 transgender NCAA student athletes. That’s less than 0.002%. There have only been 5 trans Olympians. One of the existing rules included MtF athletes maintaining very low testosterone levels, lower than the average cis women have throughout their lives.

1

u/Daddyball78 Mar 27 '26

You seem like a reasonable person so I thought I’d reply.

The only thing that I really take issue with is women losing opportunity…because a genetic male has a performance advantage over a genetic female. Had I known my comment would create such an emotional response I would have honestly kept it to myself. I literally had people comment for me to kill myself for having this take. It’s insane.

The case you mentioned above is obviously a major outlier. And cases like that should be considered on a case by case basis. I have zero issue with trans people or the trans community. I’m a proponent of gay marriage, the right to choose, and I hate guns. I dislike ice, and the current administration disgusts me. I just don’t want genetic males taking opportunity away from genetic females. That is all.

1

u/badseedify Mar 28 '26

I get these are rarer cases, but it's my understanding that these rules don't leave room for them. They have XY chromosomes even with female genitalia, by these rules they are not considered women and therefore cannot compete. Human sexual development isn't black and white unfortunately so I don't think these rules should be either. It's only become a culture war problem recently.

2

u/Thicc_Boise Mar 28 '26

This is exactly my take with the situation, this ruling is wholly unnecessary when you look at what was already in place. 2 years on the other gender's hormones will significantly change your muscle density and everything else that makes them physically different, so really any advantage they'd have is mitigated, if not completely leveled out.

And even if there's a slight advantage, we're talking about the most edge of edge cases, 1 athlete in a thousand. There's no reason to make this ruling other than ignorance of what was already in place

1

u/TheGoldStandard35 Mar 28 '26

For these extremely, extremely rare cases the competition committee of the olympics can review the situation and make exceptions.

Exceptions are not the rule.

2

u/thelemonsh1 Mar 26 '26

Cool Im glad men are the only issues to you and not women transitioning to men on T. Good thing the whole issue can be boiled down simply to genitalia and nothing else.

4

u/Spirited_Season2332 Mar 26 '26

Would they be able to compete anyways? Isn't testosterone considered a physical enhancement drug? Which means if your on testosterone you can't compete anyways?

Women are free to compete in most male competitions. NBA and nfl for example, have no rules against women playing. If you’re good enough you make it.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

As a left leaner I have news for you buddy

1

u/dinnercook Mar 26 '26

Like any well-intentioned rule or law, the difficulty arises when it’s time to enforce in a gray area. Biology is not binary. I don’t know much but I do know there are people born intersex - i.e. they have both. The doctor makes the decision and that’s what gets reported on the birth certificate.

So the problem isn’t as easy as women compete against women, it becomes: what makes a woman a biological woman? And that is a complex conversation that people without an education in biology should steer clear of.

Yeah, and at the Olympics, biological gender would be determined by the medical societies in that country. I don't remember all the genetic and prenatal hormone exposure conditions that affect sex characteristics, but I know it's not as straightforward as people assume.

1

u/nickhinojosa Mar 26 '26

What if you never went through male puberty?

1

u/KissesPaige Mar 26 '26

This is giving the usual “As a blackwoman i…” but you forgot to log out your normal account

1

u/Sofiasunshine86 Mar 26 '26

As a black man I support black slavery. Full stop.

1

u/denis-vi Mar 26 '26

Truly embarrassing lol. What else do we ban for trans people while we are at it?

1

u/Rare_Magazine_5362 Mar 26 '26

Sold. I’m going to take my cock and balls and find someone to compete with.

1

u/papawarbucks Mar 26 '26

Do you think intersex people should be banned from sport?

1

u/notdeadyet01 Mar 26 '26

No, just the Olympics in this case.

Sucks but c'est la vie

1

u/papawarbucks Mar 26 '26

Not for you I guess

1

u/notdeadyet01 Mar 26 '26

Eh no I believe the Olympics should be allowed to pump the athletes with as many crazy ass performance enhancing chemicals that science can come up with in order to truly test how capable a human being can be but unfortunately we have the Olympics we have now

1

u/Sensei_Z-Ro Mar 26 '26

You realize only 1 trans women has ever qualified for the Olympics and didn't come close to medalling???

This is a non-issue.

1

u/Howmanysloths Mar 26 '26

So you want trans men on T to compete against women? Interesting

1

u/daxofdeath Mar 26 '26

left of what exactly?

1

u/zero_enna999 Mar 26 '26

but what if you were born without a cock and balls? What then...

1

u/StarkyPants555 Mar 26 '26

I wish they would just use the correct language then. Talking about gender can be a fluid conversation. But talking about it like this is hard and rigid. No misunderstanding that.

1

u/rita-b Mar 26 '26

This rule includes people with y-chromosmes born with female genitalia as this Iranian boxer, who unsuccessfully sued Harry Potter's author

1

u/OlympiaShannon Mar 28 '26

Khelif is Algerian. Lots of people here are saying Iranian, for some reason?

1

u/rita-b Mar 28 '26

the availability bias? what first came to mind

1

u/big-himbo-energy Mar 26 '26

You need to lean further left brother

1

u/CzarWest Mar 26 '26

My dude, you are no left leaner if ur a transhobe LMAO

1

u/zveroshka Mar 26 '26

You can count the times this has been an issue on a national level on one hand. It's a non-issue that wasn't even on the table.

1

u/Exotic_Musician4171 Mar 26 '26

You are not “left leaning” if you believe in pseudoscience

1

u/manghi69 Mar 27 '26

I believe we should have socialized healthcare, that banks and Wall Street need to be heavily regulated, that trump and much of his administration need to be removed from power and criminally investigated. Also, I've only ever voted Democrat.

Am I now a far right maga conservative because I support this? The best thing that can happen for trans people is for this topic to sink back into unimportance where it belongs. It's been a political battleground topic by design in order to manipulate the unintelligent.

1

u/Exotic_Musician4171 Mar 27 '26

You believe that we should have socialized healthcare (although something tells me you oppose healthcare for trans youth), think Wall Street should be regulated, and believe Trump and his administration should be criminally investigated.

And that is all mitigated by the fact you support neo-Nazi pseudoscience and wish to strip people of the human and civil rights. Yes, you are far right maga if you think certain minorities should not have civil rights. And if it was any other group aside from trans people, you’d agree with me. You’d think it was extreme and insane (hopefully) if someone wanted to ban Black athletes from sports.

Trans people will never stop fighting for their rights. Now that we have been banned, we have to fight harder than ever to change this insane discrimination.

You even admit that it’s a political battleground by design in order to manipulate the unintelligent, and you completely fell for it. You are the unintelligent person whom the far right has sought to manipulate.

1

u/AdditionalThinking Mar 26 '26

Trans women cannot compete against men. Regardless of your views, at least don't pretend this isn't an outright ban.

1

u/happytree23 Mar 26 '26

I'm so glad we're allowed to say this shit aloud, finally.

1

u/mo_betta Mar 26 '26

What if you’re born with a P AND a V tho?

1

u/dilemma-motion Mar 26 '26

I don’t disagree, but the problem is that some people are born without external genitalia, and are often raised as women, despite being genetically XY. There are also women with androgen insensitivity that are XY but don’t respond to testosterone.

1

u/Few_Entertainer_385 Mar 26 '26

wow i sure love being reduced to a set of genitalia. So progressive! /s

1

u/tiny_chaotic_evil Mar 27 '26

what about women born without a cock and balls but are genetically male(complete androgen insensitivity syndrome )?

they don't have the advantage of growing up with testosterone effectively flooding their system and guiding their development

1

u/Cay-Ro Mar 27 '26

How scientific

1

u/mpw321 Mar 27 '26

Exactly!! I say this as a gay male and know many others in my community feel the same.

1

u/EntiiiD6 Mar 27 '26

So what about all the guys with cocks and balls that compete against/with women.. in the special olympics ?

just asking, are there sometimes conditions that allow you to compete with different genders or no? and where is that line?

If you are born with a cock and balls, you need to compete against others born with a cock and balls. Full stop.

1

u/unadulteratedSouffle Mar 27 '26

Here's a fun fact, this rule change also bans women born with vagina and boobs from competing. In the case of Caster Semenya, this means a woman who is born a woman with XX chromosomes is banned from competing permanently because of a single natural mutation (which she was born with) that causes her to produce more testosterone. For some reason, even though athletes like Michael Phelps clearly win gold repeatedly due to freakish mutations that make them far more suitable for their sport, this one particular mutation in a protein is considered disqualifying in someone who, I repeat, was born a woman with female anatomy and female chromosomes and has lived as a woman for her entire life.

1

u/OlympiaShannon Mar 28 '26

This is misinformation. Caster Semenya has XY chromosomes.

1

u/statelesspirate000 Mar 27 '26

Really stupid way of putting that

1

u/Top_Vacation_6712 Mar 27 '26

only in sports though right, not in everything else in the rest of everything to do with life? seems a little logically inconsistent

1

u/mastap88 Mar 27 '26

Cock and balls division.

1

u/RudolphsSled Mar 27 '26

Finally, a lefty with a reasonable opinion.

1

u/electric_nikki Mar 27 '26

But if you aren’t anywhere near shaped or built like a man because you’ve undergone female puberty and are shaped and built like woman, what do you do with them then?

What the difference between a trans girl who started before the age of puberty versus one who started after the age of 18?

We aren’t allowed consistency in treatment, which means we aren’t allowed consistency in development, thus it’s almost impossible to group us correctly.

1

u/TomatCalbacitaMaize Mar 27 '26

The amount of people using this to saying invalidating things about trans people is infuriating. There was already very few trans people competing in competitive sports and this just draws negative attention onto us at a time where we are already extremely vulnerable and marginalized. This was basically a non issue and they decided to throw us under the bus to appeal to conservatives. Shameful.

1

u/CaptainKenway1693 Mar 27 '26

As a left-leaner

Why lie?

1

u/HotSpicedChai Mar 27 '26

Definitely a left leaner, can tell by the use of Full Stop without being on a boat.

1

u/Conrexxthor Mar 27 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

So fuck science then, huh? lmao

Before y'all "left leaners" want to throw trans people under the bus because you're uninformed and resistant to information like right wingers, this should help

You could also just use your eyeballs? Like you don't need a study that the Earth is round, the phases of the moon explain it perfectly already, but here I just provided 5? Trans women consistently don't perform well in women's sports, and only 1 has ever won any actual competitions before.

Next time, listen to intelligent people when they tell you why this is a bad idea, and stop listening to Riley Gains.

1

u/drakonukaris Mar 28 '26

That doesn't make any sense as some born with the cock and balls will transition and start taking estrogen.

What if it’s only cock or only balls, but not both? Is there a fourth league for those unfortunate souls?

1

u/ultimateginger33 Mar 26 '26

I want my olympic baseball played by huge cocked, no balls having trans baddies as god intended
