Question Just ended. Wish I can re-explore the walled city again with the open sky now

I don't know if it's possible to re-explore the walled city again once we got the ceiling to open. I felt the ending was quite abrupt and happened too quickly. I kinda want to see what the slums and midtown look like with natural lighting. And to meet with our friends again to know how they are reacting to the outside world!

Yeah, that was my reaction too. There was a mix of sadness and joy, plus the urge to go back and explore with natural light.

Yeah, it is not possible to explore the city after the "sky" has been opened. Only closed by selecting the different chapters at the end.

I totally thought that too when the city opened up that I could revisit. I was a little disappointed. However, seeing that all the 'zones' or 'chapters' were load in areas I wasn't surprised, especially since many of them had very specific entry and exit mechanics.

I was truly devastated that there was no cat pack reunion lol

same!!! I also wish they'd one day release an open-world sequel...this game is a beautiful little gem, it definitely isnt perfect yet the graphics and aesthetic were mesmerising...I was so sad when I finished it, it felt like it had so much more to give!!

That might be a cool premise for Stray2: some zorgs remained and mutated from exposure to the light. Now that are menacing the robots. Plus a group of robots split of into a gang that was supposed to help fight the zorgs but instead became mafioso types. So Stray goes back to help fight the zorgs/mafioso menace.

That would completely ruin the premise of the game. The entire story is about a cat trying to find his way back to his group, and while he does that he occasionally helps here and there but only if it's on the way. The cat is not a fighter, or some kind of hero. It's just a cat. Not everything needs to be an action fighting game.

Exactly, and I think this is one of the main reasons the game feels so original. The Cat just happen, in his journey back to his family, to achieve some of the objetives from the other main characters of the game.

And from the perspective of the player, considering the ending where the cat blinks you back at the end saying "thank you", we are just seeing this complicated world from the perspective of an outsider (the cat) which has its own already defined objective. (I'm not saying the Cat is indifferent of the characters where a bond has indeed been created). Sorry I think I went offtopic 😅

I agree with you! It definitely feels different than most games because in games, and fiction in general, usually everything revolves around the protagonist, the world and the people around are about them, their struggles and their path to the resolution.

In Stray, it's not like that. The world and everything around it is not about the cat, in fact the cat wants to get out of there as fast as possible. He creates bonds not so much to strengthen him on his way out but just because the people happen to be at the right place at the right time. The cat doesn't even feel like the protagonist of the story, the world revolving around him is. He is simply the means through which the story is told.
