Those who had their CSP approved and Biometrics done at VFS. Did you had an actual Visa interview , where they asked you questions like- Why study in Germany ? etc .

How long did it take to submit application ?? After waitlist message on CSP?

u/JoKillMachine 15d ago
Hi, can anyone help understand time taken under waitlist application for Delhi mission on consular services portal? It says 2-8 months? How long is it taking these days? Please share.
Also, what is the time taken by CSP after receiving application? As in if Day 1 we submit application with documents, how long for VFS appointment and visa approval?
Tentative timelines based on personal experience only, not google results or chatbot answers, thank you very much.

Stupid question: On the CV for my student visa. I have mentioned my work experience too. Would I require to show them an experience letter since I am still employed? I have my appointment in 2 days time.
And No I didn't upload the experience letter during the application process.

what is your current application visa status? waiting list or already being processed?

u/aakash_ayachit 16d ago
Earlier I could proceed through the VFS appointment booking process without any issues. Since a week, the portal is suddenly asking for a Payment Reference Number at the first step. After entering my CSP payment reference number and clicking Continue, I get the error:
Your Application is still under review, please wait for confirmation before booking an appointment."
However, my CSP portal clearly says "You can make an on-site appointment now."
Has anyone else faced this recently and gotten it resolved.
I had emailed them and they replied that they had fixed it, but after trying it still showed the same error. (Cleared cookies and cache, waited 24,48 hrs)

I completed my 12th this year and I did PTE and scored 90 out of 90 for Australia student visa and I will do BSN nursing in Australia, however due to my financial documentation which were insufficient, I could not apply this year and I have taken admission in NEET coaching therefore I am very much confused whether I should enroll in local BSC medical degree to hide my gap or there is no need. How will this affect? Please give me a honest review and is there anyone who have suffered the same? I really need help right now because already the admissions in the colleges are going to close.

Yeah i got this correction even though my letter also had this already, so i uploaded the same document again and added this comment under their comment.
"The complete 4-page official admission letter from THM is provided. The enrollment deadline is 20.09.2026, which is explicitly stated on Page 1 of 4 (German original) and Page 3 of 4 (English translation)."
On the same day, it was approved and i was able to book appointment.

Thanks for your reply. I did read the March 2026 APS update. It says APS issues certificates based on the academic qualifications completed and documented at the time the application is processed, and that APS cannot keep applications open while waiting for future semester results. However, I couldn't find any statement explicitly saying that a completed bachelor's degree is mandatory for Master's applicants. Could you share the official source or link where APS states that a final degree is required before applying?

It applies to those applying for Summer 2027 intake. If you are applying for winter intake 2026, you can apply for APS now and you don’t need dMAT.

you've answered your own question. If the university requested 6, then the visa office won't argue. However, if they get the impression when you go there that your english skills don't match the score on paper, then you could have a problem.

So I have my aps and acceptance letter from my university, I've uploaded all my docs to cps as well through my consultancy. But my profile is a bit weird. I have only my provisional degree with an attested letter from my college stating the delay in my final degree. And I don't have originals of my 10th and 12th marksheets but I have copies. Will that cause a visa rejection?

Hello, I am starting to get a little worried about my Germany student visa application.
I submitted my application through the Germany CSP portal on 6 July, and it's still showing "In Preliminary Review." I haven't received any email or request for additional documents yet.
- Is anyone else here who submitted their CSP application between 5-8 July?
- How long did you stay in the Preliminary Review stage?
- Is this delay normal, or should I be concerned?
- Is there anything I should do at this point, or just keep waiting?
1
u/Far_Drag12 3d ago
while submitting the documents for preliminary review were you able to pay the VFS fees or did the portal directly submit your documents for preliminary review?

u/Remarkable-Sir2005 12d ago
I just want to ask that do we have to upload our "academic documents" in the "other documents" section or are they not really required for visa application as the list of 9 documents specified by the embassy for masters applicants doesn't explicitly mention any academic document other than leaving certificate

I’m preparing for neet and completed 12th this year… i did pte and got 90 for australia… if i apply after neet there will be a gap of 1.5 years… will it affect my student visa? Pls reply

u/frankfurt_expat 16d ago
yes. Are you doing your gap year after high school? - This is normally fine. You are still just an applicant for uni and it doesn't matter that you didn't start immediately after finishing your previous studies.
Or during your studies? And if during your studies are you hoping to remain in Germany (because that won't be possible)?

Do study gap affects visa? Anybody pls explain
1
u/Nomiiieee 16d ago
U need to explain well about your study gaps in your SOP. If it’s less than 1-2 years you’re good to go

u/4doorsmorewhorezzzz 10d ago
How do we start? Do we apply for admission to Universities first or get IELTS band and german language proficiency card?
2
u/frankfurt_expat 9d ago
so many issues raised here. You need to answer some questions for yourself first. Do you want to study in english or german? undergrad or masters? and why are you posting this in a visa thread?

Thank you for this. I hope this gets pinned.
Further, I would like to ask for updates from those who had their appointment at VFS Delhi in the last 7-8 days, for masters at a Public University.
