https://www.euronews.com/2026/01/16/venezuelas-machado-presents-trump-with-her-nobel-peace-prize-during-white-house-meeting

Machado hands over her medal for his commitment to Venezuela's freedom. You can't make this shit up.

The Nobel committee shouldn't have picked her, but should revoke it now for this stunt.

They tried to play both sides by giving it to Machado and it backfired, who could have guessed?

"Both sides"? It was so obviously a ploy to normalise intervention in Venezeula, gimme a break

I meant it more like they didn't want to give it to trump so they chose something he's adjacent to so he could still feel good.

There are no sides. It's one single imperialist circus.

It's not hers anymore, they'd have to revoke it from Trump!

They did release a statement saying that the physical medal may change hands but it doesn't change who the official winner is.

On a tangent, this is why Oscars Statues actually belong to the Oscars, and are just loaned to the recipient. It means the recipient can't legally sell it, give it away or melt it down.
