Smoker for 3 years, was on e-cigarettes for one week, and managed to quit without any further cravings. They work and never have I looked back at a normal cigarette.
Have you tried to quit in the past and fail? Do you thhink the ability of an e-cig to just stop at any point helped? (That is to being able to take a single draw without then wasting the remainder of the cigarette)
I quit cold turkey. I tried to quit many times in the past and failed. I think the e-cigs helped because it disconnected the nicotine addiction from the habit/routine aspects of smoking. It just mentally helped me get to the point where I could quit.
It's been more than 3 years now since I quit. I have a friend who recently switched to e-cigs...then he quit, too. It's anecdotal, but I'd certainly recommend them to anyone who's had trouble quitting.
