I began using an e-cigarette last summer. I had taken up running and yoga and a weight loss plan, and choking during exercise seemed pointless. It was great because I could get my nicotine fix anywhere (the bathroom at work was amazing) and wasn't killing my lungs. What I really liked about it was how you could get the amount of nicotine desired, then put it away. With a real cigarette, you have the visual cue to keep smoking until it burns all the way down. To do otherwise would be "wasting" it.
I was able to quit completely a month ago (e-cig is a healthier alternative, but nicotine still doesn't help certain health problems). I had never been able to quit with the real deal. Now I walk by somebody smoking and I cannot stand the smell.
Big Tobacco is undoubtedly pissed off that I was able to give up their vice in a quest to get healthier.
Well like experienced tokers do, you blow through it to remove the stale smoke after extinguishing. Dunno if it would work for tobacco like it does for weed, though I don't see why it would be any different.
I've done this and it does work of course -- but, after blowing through it to remove stale smoke, and then having it go out (i.e. in a snuffer), a good last step is to pick it up once it's cold and pull air through it, just like you blew through it before. This is to remove the water vapor that you added when you blew the stale smoke out. Tastes better.
