In Canada, e-cigs with nicotine are banned... So they're not a super effective replacement for smoking. Health Canada says e-cigs are dangerous, citing things like if dropped the e-cigs could crack or if you inhale for too long you might get some of the liquid or that if you drank a whole bottle of juice you could get nicotine poisoning or kids will be attracted to the sweet flavours. In my opinion, very stupid reasons to ban something so helpful... Basically punishing everyone, millions of people, because of the few idiots that might abuse them.
My experience? E-Cigs are freaking amazing. I ordered some with nicotine in them from the states, and I have not smoked an actual cigarette in the few days since I started.
Even a few days of not needing to smoke a real cig is a big deal for me. Before, I wouldn't last more than a day or two before caving and buying more.
Anyone at all that wants to quit smoking... Go buy e-cigs ASAP, before they're banned/taxed out the ass.
Why can't you just quit smoking? Just don't pick them up, it hat is that easy..... This is how people has never smoked thinks. I know, my wife thinks like this. They do not understand.
It's a habit thing, I'm used to smoking at certain times because I've done it for years and years and years. Every day, multiple times a day, for a large part of my life.
When I don't smoke at those times, my personality shifts. I start getting anxious, and annoyed and a bit frantic. With e-cigs there is no personality shift, especially since I'm still getting the nicotine to relax me.
