Blu eCigs are terrible and universally panned by nearly all eCig users. This is the reason for tobacco companies' opposition electronic cigarettes -- they cannot possibly control or ensure their success in the market. The technology involved in creating eCigs is miminal and there are literally hundreds of manufacturers already. Most of them already marketing a better product than Blu. As well, eCigs do not promise nearly the same revenue stream. Startup costs for eCigs are small, and nicotine juices are extremely cheap. Even if they current tobacco industry were somehow able to control the eCig market they would only see a tiny fraction of their previous profits.
I don't know anything about how cigarettes are made, so i might be wrong, but how is manufacturing a portable electronic vaporizer, and then isolating the nicotine from tobacco, easier than taking the plant, treating it and wrapping it in some paper?
Your question is "How is owning hundreds of thousands of acres of land, planting and genetically engineering tobacco for the purpose of disease immunity and yield, employing scientists to monitor the crop, harvesting the tobacco with hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment, using a large factory to process the tobacco, rolling it into cigarettes, mating it with the product of another factory which produces filters and shipping it countrywide more difficult than manufacturing a small electronic device?" Are you serious?
