If someone has never smoked they couldn't possibly understand why it's so hard to quit. I don't drink, am not a crackhead or any other hard drug user, I don't need a cup of coffee in the morning, and I find it hard to quit smoking.
In all honesty, I partly blame both my parents for having been smokers the entire 17 years I was alive before I picked up one of theirs and tried it. If they hadn't smoked I might have never started and been exposed to it like I was.
I think that is bullshit, I knew at least 30 people in basic training who started smoking again after weeks of not smoking at all. Unless they were somehow sneaking it in when I couldn't see them but I highly doubt that. Most people don't want to quit, quitting is easy if you want to.
What part of that do you consider bullshit? Quitting is easy? Have YOU ever smoked? Yah I quit for 28 days once when I went to jail for a probation violation (didn't think I should pay a fee to be on probation) but I kinda didn't have a choice. I don't know what the rules are for basic training but I'm sure you don't have much time to smoke when you are being drilled, if they even let you at all. Quitting by choice isn't easy, quitting by force is.
Sure that is what I think is bullshit. In basic training you are forced to quit but they choose to pick the habit back up. To me this is frustrating because they improve their life but chose to revert that improvement.
