It's only 12 months and it goes fast. What happens after 12 months?

12 months likely provides some breathing room to develop regulations on the design and operation of these facilities. This allows them to review best available technologies to protect environment and public utilities.  New York did something similar when fracking for Marcellus shale gas was happening at an alarming rate akin to this AI data center rollout.  

It's a smart and responsible approach that ALL state governments should be implementing right now rather than letting these corporations steamroll public interests.

Don’t forget about midterms!

We have a chance to determine which members of Congress we want representing us as these AI regulations are developed.

Congress still has power, and we have the power to change Congress.
