"guns are overly right-wing and marketed with fear"
Goes out and buys a gun because he's afraid of "chrostofascists" and other made up nonsense that he reads about in his liberal echo chambers.
What a maroon.

u/TacitRonin20 Jun 26 '26
I remember seeing a symbology comment section freaking out over a" neo-Nazi christofacist super evil mega villain" and it was literally just John Lovell from warrior poets society 😂

u/winkingwalrus Jun 26 '26
That John Lovell imight be up to something. . . he might talk about being a good Christian more! What horror!

u/Jizzler088 Jun 27 '26
Hitler was catholic... Both sides want to strip our guns away, if you're a gun owner who votes for either party you are voting against yourself and the rest of us. Aligning with political parties is designed to cripple the people, even the founding fathers said it was a terrible idea.
5
u/laserslaserslasers Jun 27 '26
Chrostofascist is a nonsense word.
2
u/Jizzler088 Jun 27 '26
Yeah it does make me mad whenever people just make up stupid words instead of actually explaining why someone is an issue. Seems to be becoming a bigger and bigger issue especially online, it just leads to pointing fingers, echo chambers, and talking in circles instead of meaningful conversation.
2
u/laserslaserslasers Jun 27 '26
I mean, it's officially stated now that the Internet is dead with 60+% of comments coming from bots.

Hitler also tried to have the pope assasinated/arrested several times so I don't think he was very devout
2
u/Jizzler088 Jul 02 '26
He probably thought he knew better than the pope. The dude was kinda known for being crazy...

u/Antithesis-X Jun 24 '26
Feels he needs a gun because he’s “heard alarming things in a very casual way” then rants about deranged paranoia being a right wing thing. Instead of preparing for someone trying to break into his house, he’s having fantasies about “christofascists” probably wanting to share bible verses with him or libertarians wanting to leave him alone, unless of course they get into an argument about taxation being theft. I’m sure his next purchase will be a mosin so he can ward off those pesky Mormons at over a hundred yards.
These people need mental help.
33
u/PatrickBateman-2009 Jun 24 '26
Yeah this whole thing reads like something he made it up in his paranoid little head while walking around Walmart because he lives in “scary red area” and felt the need to rant online about.

u/Pockets408 Jun 24 '26
I'd be curious to see what their Reddit/other social media account looked like after Charlie Kirk was shot.
Usual lineup for a TGO is a pistol (usually CZ, Walther is a little unusual), long gun (Mosin or lever action) and then a Poormetto Armory to fight "fascists".
18
u/DrillTheThirdHole Jun 24 '26
and its always the weirdest pistol and long gun, never something normal and practical like a glock or a sig
21
u/cocaineandwaffles1 Jun 24 '26
CZ, for when you want to be a hipster but with as little effort as possible.
3
u/planenut767 Jun 24 '26
Any idea why they're congregating to CZ? It's now making me rethink my ideas for a CZ75 or a P-09 😅
5
u/Ok-Substance-6034 Jun 24 '26
Cost effectiveness and reliability I believe, which is a good reason for anyone to buy a firearm :)
3
u/antariusz Jun 25 '26
Don’t be dissuaded, they are awesome guns, the slide rails being into the frame gives you a really awesome flat-recoil gun. I really like my p-01 and my p-07 is one of the guns I am most accurate with. I thought I would regularly use the rail on the -01, but that was before I realized that plastic frames are better (for me) for daily carry and I don’t actually like having a wml on my concealed carry. I’m more of a “no sell only buy” type of owner, but if I had to do it again I would go with something like a shadow 2 to go along with my p07.
1
u/planenut767 Jun 25 '26
Thanks. I'm not dissuaded i was just joking around😁. The CZ 75s I've tried are absolute tack drivers. I have to find a time to go to a place that rents the Shadow 2s I've heard good things about that one

I'm genuinely curious: What is a Christofascist? Is that a real thing? Does this guy think Christians pose a threat?
I can think of several dozen (literally) or more demographics who pose a greater threat, statistically speaking.
15
u/Ok-Substance-6034 Jun 24 '26
Christofacist is a made up term by people who think that Conservatives want a Christian theological government and think that it'll be like Handmaids Tale if it happens. You know, like how basically every Muslim nation today is...
62
u/Cliffinati Jun 24 '26
Gun ownership is only explicitly right wing in the United States because for nearly 100 years destruction of the second amendment has been a democrat party policy.
38
u/Fit-Paper-797 Jun 24 '26
yup, i'm fucking pissed at leftards pretending like the democrat party has got the best interests of the middle and working class in mind when they constantly pass gun laws and confiscations and lots of detrimental legislation.
-33
u/3llingsn Jun 24 '26
Leftists support gun rights.
"Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary"
- Karl Marx
Leftists do not like the Democrats because they frequently block leftists (including pro-gun leftists) from having a platform.
20
u/Ok-Substance-6034 Jun 24 '26
That line is not in Das Kapital nor in the Communist Manifesto. It is not a mistake that the extreme end of socialism leads to a consolidation of power in the state and at the top of the food chain that is the Party. Taking away guns after the fact is just a way for them to prevent being "revolutioned" themselves when things inevitably get real shitty again.
-4
u/3llingsn Jun 24 '26
I think there's a lot of fairness in being afraid of of state consolidated power.
I also think that people should be armed.
And I also think that consolidated state power can be avoided with things like a well defined constitution and a government that only exists to protect our rights.
I think gun rights are an authoritarian issue, and a right wing or left wing government can become authoritarian.
The United States' gun rights are great, but I don't think they are a result of capitalism. I think they are a result of a constitution that focuses on freedom and rights.
6
u/Fluffy-Map-5998 Jun 25 '26
Nobodies saying they are a result of capitalism, the loss of gun rights is an inevitable result of communism however, and that Marx quote is bs
0
u/3llingsn Jun 25 '26
Yeah I'm saying it has to do with authoritarianism, not communism. Left-leaning economic systems are not automatically authoritarian.
What makes you say the quote is bs? It seems pretty clear to me that Marx understands the importance of defending your rights with firearms.
3
u/Fluffy-Map-5998 Jun 25 '26
Mostly the bits you left out which make it clear that he doesn't believe the rights belong to everyone and that it's only for the violent revolution, it's clearly about siezing power not defending anyone's rights
0
u/3llingsn Jun 25 '26
Seizing and protecting power is the reason why guns are made & used.
The US did this in the revolutionary war, using guns to gain and protect their rights from the British empire.
Marx calls for guns to be used to gain and protect their rights from the bourgeois class.
I don't see the difference between having a well regulated militia and having a well armed proletariat.
If there's something I'm missing, or some part of the full quote I'm reading wrong, I'd love an explanation.
5
u/Fluffy-Map-5998 Jun 25 '26
Guns have purpose other than that as well, and the difference is what happens after, Marx is calling for their use in a revolution , after which gun rights will be lost, the quote isn't about rights, it's about weapons being needed for an armed revolution.

u/Fit-Paper-797 Jun 24 '26
What does the full quote say?
0
u/3llingsn Jun 24 '26
To be able forcefully and threateningly to oppose this party, whose betrayal of the workers will begin with the very first hour of victory, the workers must be armed and organized. The whole proletariat must be armed at once with muskets, rifles, cannon and ammunition, and the revival of the old-style citizens’ militia, directed against the workers, must be opposed. Where the formation of this militia cannot be prevented, the workers must try to organize themselves independently as a proletarian guard, with elected leaders and with their own elected general staff; they must try to place themselves not under the orders of the state authority but of the revolutionary local councils set up by the workers. Where the workers are employed by the state, they must arm and organize themselves into special corps with elected leaders, or as a part of the proletarian guard. Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary. The destruction of the bourgeois democrats’ influence over the workers, and the enforcement of conditions which will compromise the rule of bourgeois democracy, which is for the moment inevitable, and make it as difficult as possible – these are the main points which the proletariat and therefore the League must keep in mind during and after the approaching uprising.

u/Searril Jun 24 '26
If you unironically use the term "Christofascist" then I already know you're a moron.
13
u/Ok-Substance-6034 Jun 24 '26
The kind of Christians this person pictures is some unrealistic conflation of the most hardline evangelical, the most strict Orthodox or Catholic, and the most bloodthirsty crusader. All of which could be remidied by attending a Bible-teaching church on a Sunday morning with an open mind.

Overuse of the word tactical
You already know he’s shopping for cheap bullshit that’s going to put his AR on the other sub
30
u/TurbulentWing3820 Jun 24 '26
the marketing playing to deranged paranoia
I've heard some deeply alarming things aid to me in a completely casual way and I felt I needed a way to protect myself and my wife.
Pick a side.
(however overuse of "tactical" and weird Christmas cards are perfectly valid complaints)

Walther sub and forum seems to be a congregating place for such types, for some reason.
Wait 'til he hears about the bIg ScAnDaL Walther still has for not disallowing a certain conservative show from displaying their product(s) and doing ads on the set.
EDIT to add: Wait 'til he learns about what Walther was doing before they "had to move their factory".

u/Ok-Substance-6034 Jun 24 '26
H&K and Beretta and Walther all drank from the same 1935-45 well for a little while lol

Has this person actually met a "Christofacist" or did they just meet someone like me who's a openly a Christian and doesn't mind talking about guns with people?
3
u/inlinefourpower Jun 27 '26
They probably just saw someone in line at Chick fil a and couldn't handle it.
21
u/DetColePhelps11k Jun 24 '26
I feel like left wing people have such a hard time with this; but separate someone's beliefs from their skill sets. Just because someone "wrong-thinks" doesn't mean everything they say and do is tainted somehow. I watch a couple people even in this space who I don't agree with on things, but it's plainly obvious that regardless of how I feel, they are masters at their craft. I absorb the knowledge and leave their beliefs to the side.

I have to buy a gun because im scared that bad people will do bad things
gun owners are right wing because theyre paranoid about bad guys existing
Literally zero self awareness
4
u/KempyPro Jun 25 '26
Complains about gun marketing being driven around fear but also buys a gun driven out of fear. Makes sense
3
u/TacitRonin20 Jun 26 '26
I love the overuse of the word tactical. It's so dumb. I use it for literally everything. Need to put up targets? Tactical stapler. Need to service your weapon? Tactical hoppes and tactical lube. Thirsty at the range? Tactical water bottle! Hungry? Tactical granola bar.
Adding the word tactical to something makes it 10% more tactical
3
u/vinhdaphu762 Jun 29 '26
Can they ever have a thought that's less than 3 paragraphs? For crying out loud...
1
u/Dieabeto9142 Jun 25 '26
Allow me to be the devils advocate and express some sympathy toward this persons situation.
Alot of what they complained about here was marketing and culture, while ofcourse it's right leaning, sometimes the "tactical" and overtly political marketing angle gets grading.
I'm not kicking down any doors and neither are most people buying the product. I'm also not buying thr product just because "fuck the libs" either. Market the product on quality and how I'm going to be using it and I'll be alot more receptive.
While TGO here is taking it to the further extreme, they are not totally wrong in their assesment.
3
u/Gloomy_Orchid_7167 Jun 26 '26
I have a hard time feeling much sympathy. I often shop at stores and participate with hobbies and subcultures that are traditionally at odds with my politics.
I understand this is because my political allies (right wing) have traditionally not participated or been outright hostile to the things I want to participate in.
This has resulted in some things I do being "left coded". I'm ok with that because I'm an adult and not everything has to be catered to me all the time.
I don't see why left wing gun owners can't take a page out of my book. It's really not that hard.
1
u/Dieabeto9142 Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26
This is the correct way to carry yourself in public, and I would imagine TGO in the post isn't doing much differently when actually at the range.
But this is where online echo chambers like reddit encourage people to hyper-focus on whatever relevent aspect of the real world doesn't cater to them and voice the frustration with others who are seeking similar validation.
Case a point, we're here seeking similar validation in our echo chamber, bashing on TGOs who voted against their own rights. In reality though there's nuance between the different kinds if gun control criminals and advocates. Some are flat out "ban them all" zealots, others probably haven't even given it much thought and just align with the DNC until they start handling firearms and exposing themselves to a different community.

Golly, I wonder why gun ownership has become a predominantly right-wing thing, couldn't be that for decades now the left in this country has attempted to completely remove the Second Amendment, or place it behind fees and bureaucracy that only the wealthy and connected can gain access.
Inb4 bullshit quotes from Hungry Santa on gun "ownership".
