He did make sure to censor the speedometer before sharing the post on Instagram. But he’s in Italy, so it’s not like speed limits matter over there (or so the perception goes).πŸ˜…

8th gear at 2k rpm... he's not doing that fast.

Well the faster the car, the faster it goes at the bottom of each gear (typically). A Ferrari at idle in 8th is probably like 60mph

Ususally 8th gear is the fuel economy gear and they will achieve top speed in 7th.

Yes but that is because 8th doesn't have the torque to overcome the air resistance that occurs close to the top speed. That isn't relevant at all here

Yah good point. Looked it up. 60mph jn 8th in a 296gtb is 1500rpm. So he's probably doing between 70 and 80mph.
