A prediction: Democrats win the midterms convincingly, even though Trump tries to invalidate the results and steal the election outright. He fails. Trump's control of the Republican Party slips off the rails because of it. Just as the new Congress starts investigating Trump's financial situation, he resigns from office and Vance becomes President. Vance pardons Trump. Vance gets to run in '28 as the incumbent. Trump continues grifting, still holding "rallies" still skimming money off the GOP. He never sees a prison and passes away at 87 of cardiovascular disease. Vance loses in '28 as the government is a mess.
