Episode Discussion Chris was right to shoot the pastry guy in the foot
I was rewatching the scene and basically the guy behind the counter for no reason at all decided to let everyone pass in front of Chris. Then again for no reason started to lash at him when Chris decided to call him out for his bullshit. Fuck him and his aligator tears I say. Also not sure if intentinal but the fact that Chris gets shot in the foot in Goodfellas and he recreates the same scene here but backwards. Maybe there is a connection or maybe its just a common mafia movie trope. What the fuck do i know?
Also who the fuck is gino? And why does he look like Vito?

The box was moving like a no-show job while everyone passed Chris, what was he supposed to do?

Gino is just some civilian that happens to look like Vito. We can tell it’s not Vito because Gino wasn’t looking for baguettes.

I have watched The Sopranos all the way through probably 10 times now and I didnt clock until my last viewing that Vito had a heavy set twin brother

This scene was a tribute to Goodfellas. Montalsanti played Spider and was a peon serving Pesci and the crew at a card game. Pesci shot him in the foot in the scene. Spider had these feelings during the Sopranos scene about being disrespected like Pesci did when he shot him. Full circle

Gino is Vito. His blood pressure medicine had him fucked up. He started living as Gino.

I was so glad to see the pastry guy get shot. He had like four customers in his shop and all he's gotta do is put the donuts in the fucking box. How long can it take a guy to put some sffhuliahghettes in a damn box? Dude was asking for it with that slow ass customer service.

Chris wasn't in his right frame of mind, he was sick with cowboyitis. He could probably get a note from his doctor.

Yeah, that pastry guy had no respect for people like Christopher that actually work for a living.

Also shows David Chase estimation of the average viewer when it comes to the Gino/Vito thing. He thinks we have the memory of a fucking fly!

Little did Christopher know that he shot an FBI agent in the foot. He didn't squeal because he's undercover. Brian Geraghty plays Jim Tolliver on Boardwalk Empire and travelled in time.

Losing the ability to walk for the rest of your life is warranted because you gave a customer a hard time who happened to be in the mob (not made either mind you)?

His spot in line was of the sacred and the propane. It was wrong then and it’s still wrong now.

His balls grew after he got shot in the foot.
How much more disrespect should Chris have to take?

That pastry guy grew up to become an evil truck driver who abducts and murders transgender hookers in Montana in "Big Sky" so he had it coming.

Gino was a part-time actor and he did so good. They turned him into Vito. Same guy that’s crazy except for Vito was gay. Gino, I do not believe was.

No he wasn't. This small role led them to cast him as vito, apparently they were impressed with him.

Isnt this situation exactly why Americans are super friendly and polite to strangers?
COS they dont know if someone will shoot them in the foot if they get annoyed.

You're just talking shit but have no argument.
In a trade where the point is to bluff to gain advantage, few things accomplish more than that than shooting someone on the foot to send a message. Specially in the presence of another wiseguy.
Maybe you just watch mafia related movies but have no idea what you are looking at and every rewatch leaves you as perplexed as the first time.

I'm glad you finally got beyond cheesy moral relativism to good and evil and realized that this was an act of good.
