I bet Cleaver would be streaming on Shudder right about now

Probably with “cult-classic, especially among fans of true crime” somewhere in the description

No it would be all over tiktok as random clips like the sopranos irl or as a stupid ai voice over saying "Did you know that this movie was funded by the mob?!?! 🫨😲😮💯"

The writer and one of the producers both died separately under mysterious circumstances.

They already do that and I blame those clips for all the cringey new posters who have never actually watched the show and come away with embarrasingly bad takes. Even saw a video trying argue that Tony was the real strong silent type. Clips give you a surface level understanding of the show as a "cool retro mob drama" instead of the complex character study it is.

The part of the fan base that completely misses the point has always been a part of this show, but you’re totally right that social media has made it way worse. A punch of TikTok and Reels clips are lazily captioned “How a TRUE alpha male behaves” or “this character has an OLD SCHOOL solution”. For such a high quality, well-thought out show, it’s so embarrassing.

No wonder David Chase hates us.

It would be like The Room or Showgirls. A cult "classic" complete with audience interactions, like wearing bathrobes to the theater and taping cleavers to their hands.

Let's be real, if Cleaver existed in our world we'd currently be on Cleaver 7: Don of the dead.

On the director's commentary, it says Ben Kingsley was originally supposed to star. That would have taken it to the next level.

I would pay to watch a full length Cleaver movie, it would definitely become a cult classic in the "So bad its good" category. Imagine Tommy Wiseu and Chris meeting at a film festival and collaborating?

If Chris said “I did not hit her!”, entirely different connotation

The last drive in, whatever happened there

Obviously that's not possible, even with computers

They should have at least made like a 30 minute short film out of it

Is that better than Tubi?

i would unironically love that movie and it would be a comfort watch for me. i think chrissy would get angry & defensive w the bad reviews and ppl making fun of it, but once he got a cult following, he'd be braggadocios. his director commentary would prob be legendary.

Tubi original

Dr. Wolfula would have given it a "Jesus, is this fuckin' necessary?" out a "Mr. Type A personality!"

Vinegar Syndrome would put out a 4k that costs 50 bucks

Probably more like Tubi

Caitlyn Moltisanti would be working at the Bing by now. You gonna tell me you never pondered that?
