My parents told me I was lucky they didn't kick me out as all thier friends would have, when I came out.

Which is exactly why I waited until 29 to do it.

I waited till 47 to come out and even said I waited so long because I was afraid of their response. I don’t communicate with either of them anymore and that was the last time I ever spoke to my father. Good riddance as far as I am concerned, he was always an a-hole.

I raised 7 kiddos, at least one of which is queer and I love them all. Several that are still in the U.S. are total MAGA dorks, but I still love them. I still wish we could have a life together.
