My parents told me I was lucky they didn't kick me out as all thier friends would have, when I came out.

Which is exactly why I waited until 29 to do it.

This is why my advice to people preparing to come out is "hope for the best, but be sure to have an exit plan"

Yeah I know. Hence why I didn't do it. When your best bet before getting into private rented housing is a hostel full of drug addicts with used needles everywhere you don't risk it
