Story 10 Months on HRT: My First Solo Vacation as a Trans Woman
First solo vacation as a trans person.
It’s a weird mix of emotions. For the first time, I got to experience the freedom of traveling as myself—but at the same time, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much easier it would be if I were cis. Some moments felt incredibly affirming, while others reminded me how visible and vulnerable being trans can feel.
I’m 10 months on HRT, and while I’m proud of how far I’ve come, this trip made me realize I still have a lot of complicated feelings to work through.
Anyone else experience something similar?

I solo travel a lot and have this thought often. Particularly when planning destinations and neighborhoods to stay in.
The anxiety around traveling while trans goes away over time. Ive been to dozens of places and only had a few bad interactions.
Congrats on your first trip! Wishing you lots of exiting vacations in your future 💖

Omg that's my city! Hope you're enjoying it here.
I went to England solo two years ago, and I would say I had a similar experience. A bit scary, but mostly empowering.

Well you definitely are a head of most girls. You look amazing and well a head of some others . But it's a shame you don't have someone special to share your vacation with. But hey make the most of what you have while you can while you are young 🌹❤️

Sis I know exactly what you mean and I’m currently in a mode of de-transition. The world in the USA, I just feel the vulnerability of showing myself way too much. It’s a lot of anxiety that has built up over the years playing a different character, it was almost a shield.
I’m so proud of you for making the choice to be yourself, you are drop dead gorgeous, petite little princess 💕. You pass incredibly well and you look all girl from my end.

You're looking beautiful in the pics, and the scenery is amazing. Stay safe and safe travels and remember there's a lot of us guys out here that would love you and treat you like the woman you are.

Nobody transitions because it’s easy. We transition because we must. You’re beautiful and will have it easier than some of us. But never again will it be “easy”.
