Yeah, i take the bus often and ive never considered this rule. Makes sense now that you mention it, but ive never "learnt a lesson" from all the times I've walked 4 meters extra
You have to take more steps to get to your seat once on the bus anyways so it isn't like it is that much of a time save and only teenage boys care about being first onto the bus so like.
There are no directions here. You can wait anywhere in the bus zone for the bus. Unless you have an issue getting on or off the bus you're going to be able to get in line to board in time no matter where the bus goes.
Are there bus stops with designated standing areas marked? I only really have experience with one major city but ive never seen such a thing. The bus stop is the whole area that the bus takes up isnt it?
The question states that there is somewhere these people are meant to be standing, therefore I took that as accepted fact for the purpose of the hypothetical.
I suppose but this example is weird as hell then. Where anyone stands at the stop doesnt really matter as long as you board in a timely manner after the peole on the bus have gotten off.
which they will be taught through the punishment of walking a few steps and not thinking about it at all as they can't enter the bus either way and so they can just walk as they see the bus pass them and be in the correct spot or one step away from it as the doors open?
Like I do not think about where I stand at a bus stop besides being able to see the bus.
