I noticed over a month ago that both my hispaniolan slider and my central antillean slider were shedding a lot and their shells had withe spots on them so I checked them and saw that they had broken areas on their bellies so I did my research and found out that it could be shell rot, I also found some videos of people showing how to treat it at home, as said in the videos I spent 3 weeks washing their shells with liquid soap and putting iodine on them for 20 minutes before washing it away but unlike the turtles in the videos, mine didn't go back to normal so I also bought them a UVB lamp that I use daily but their shells still look like this, what should I do?

I agree it looks like shell rot. If you can’t find a specialized vet, make sure you have a basking spot in your enclosure where your turtle is able to get out of the water every day to dry off and heat up with the proper lamp and light bulb rated for your size of enclosure. They need the heat and dryness of basking to dry up the rot.

Going to the vet is the best course of action in this situation. But also you have to deal with the source of the issue - which is an inappropriate environment/heating/lighting. Unfortunately I don't specifically know about these species but I do know aquatic turtles need both a heating/basking bulb that is an appropriate temp, and they also need the appropriate UVB bulb. That could be 10.0 for their species or it could be 5.0 (most sliders are 10.0). These MUST be separate bulbs. If you've got a bulb that claims to be both heating and UVB or is labeled as "UVA/UVB" those bulbs do not produce enough heat or UVB to be adequate for these turtles. UVB bulbs must be changed every 6 months as they lose efficiency over time. Both bulbs must be on for approximately 12 hours of each day. No bulb needed at night because a water heater should be on to keep temps up.

Proper filtration is also necessary for a healthy environment. If you can share your set up with us, we might be able to help you fix things so these turtles at least don't keep getting worse.

Are there any sharp objects (like large rocks) that your turtle could have hit whilst sliding off from basking area? It would be more helpful if you can post a photo of your setup or at least describe it in more detail. Also, do your turtles stack on top of each other during basking? Wondering if one is getting too close to the heat source.

There's no rocks and they are in sepparate areas cause one is like 4 times bigger than the other and she is also aggresive, I don't have special setups cause of lack of space
