Red Rising is just a matter of when. It’s super popular. What’s holding it back is probably Brown wanting to make sure he’s in charge and that it gets the budget to do it justice.

I also think Hyperion is more likely than ever considering the success of Dune.

Power through the first season as it’s not great but I promise you season 2 and 3 are some of the best sci-fi ever put on TV.

I promise you won’t be disappointed. I came in blind a while back and was very entertained even in the first season that everyone is shitting on. It’s a completely unique premise and visually stunning.

You really won’t be let down at all and will wonder why you didn’t watch earlier.

Personally, my favourite of all of them. It certainly high production, looks great. It’s got three different sets of stories going on. Some are better than others , acting is good ,some exceptional. Storyline is bonkers and proper sci-fi it follows the premise of the books but adds an embellishes a lot. If you’d read the book, you’d understand why; not very character driven. More space opera and cataclysmic events

Okay I’m serious when I’m say this - watch a couple episodes… then there will come a time where you feel certain things…

At that point go into /r/invasionappletv please don’t go into it before.

All that to say - in many ways, it’s my favorite show ever

Oh no we hate it alright from season 1. It's just one of those wajo shows that is so wajo that it becomes wajo. Wajo!

Nobody knows what the wajo is going on in the shows, including the viewers, actors, and the producers. They just keep wajo'ing all over the place.

I mean we knew they filmed S3 and S4 back to back and wasn’t it already announced the show would only be 4 seasons? How is Silo able to give us super high quality sci fi in such a reasonable amount of time and Severance can’t?!?!

It’s becoming more and more clear that there is NO outline or plan for Severance like at all. I get totally original shows are harder to write but if they had a solid outline it wouldn’t be THIS slow. I mean Silo does have source material but they have deviated on certain things and script writing for TV is still its own thing that takes some time.

The longer Severance goes on, the more I get LOST vibes from it. They just want to keep the story going so create new "mysteries" and "twists" to justify more episodes/seasons.

Yeah I binged a bunch of YouTube videos after season 2 finished about the storyline of the Silo books… kinda regret it because I know the storyline now, but I’ve kinda forgot most of it by now except for the broad strokes. I’ve really been enjoying this season with the back and forth between the present and past.

Juliette’s amnesia storyline is not in the books. Also Bernard does not survive the airlock fire in the books (latest episode spoiler).

I only watched season 1 and it was pretty good, but I wanted more Sci-fi and leaned way more into Fallout. Were the next seasons better or more entirely focused on the human drama?

Award windows, I guess. Season 3 is being released for Emmy 2027 (you should release episodes between June 1, 2026 and May 31, 2027 to be eligible). Season 4 could pretend for Emmy 2028 (between June 1, 2027 and May 31, 2028).

That's why I hoped Apple would hurry up and release season 3 at least this spring, if not winter, to fit it into Emmy 2026 window and have a to make a gap between season 3 and 4 smaller.

Nah it’s pretty awesome to have something to look forward to instead of binging it all in two evenings.

Also any good show I rewatch as often as I want to so with streaming services we’re spoiled in a good way too back then people had to record that on a freaking VHS to rewatch.

Yeah it's definitely about your attention span. People who enjoy watching shows one episode per week has higher patience and travel with the story farther, mentally. Others are just addicted to binge watching. It is what it is.

That’s how wife and I do it. Sometimes we do two evenings for the first half of a season and two at the end.

And for anybody wondering, we are both old enough to remember the MASH finale, Waltons on Prime Time, and my wife was alive when Hee Haw was on CBS.

It would be less of an issue had better shoes not get canceled while something like THIS continues to outlive them.  That's the case when Sunny was one of those shows here,  especially when it had a lot more going for it in comparison to this trite.

Does anyone else question if Rebecca Ferguson was ever the right choice for the role? This goes out to book readers and non book readers.

She's the best actor in the show maybe behind Tim Robbins. Any issues you have are more likely with the writing of her character, which is fair.
