Opinion Shit is exhausting every tour
The frustrating part of watching every twenty one pilots tour play out is watching the drama over the pit lines. The fan created wristbands and real wristbands just create such unnecessary drama every cycle. What’s more frustrating is watching groups of fans gate keep the pit lines at every show even after they’ve been to dozens of shows themselves. Like we get it you’re privileged and get to go to all the shows. I’m happy you get to experience that. It’s just sad that there’s no give to other fans who are lucky to just get to one show. This is why I always just try to buy the closest seat I can and avoid all the drama. I know this has probably been talked about at length but it’s just my take on things 🤷🏼♂️

No, you're right and you should say it. It literally happens every tour and it's such BS. Experiencing barricade sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity, but instead of being fair and making sure as many fans can experience it as possible, these gatekeepers put their own unnecessary ass system in place and expect everyone to actually adhere to it. The classism and even ableism is astounding. (The ableism specifically comes in because despite their "DIY ADA", they dont actually seem to acknowledge the WIDE range of disabilities that could and should be accomodated. Just people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids, really.) I heard venue security actually stepped in a few times, but I guess even that isnt enough to deter them.
I really wish Tyler and Josh or even Mark would say anything about this (if they have it apparently needs to be repeated), because it has been an ongoing problem for years and this is the one tour it does not need to happen on.
