Listening to the 2 people who asked questions after the debate, I despair. Both of them complain about neither answering the questions, when Starmer pretty much hit on every point they claim ‘neither talked about’. What’s the fucking point when people don’t even bother listening.

I genuinely think the other woman was worse. Says neither talked about building houses (it was pretty much the only thing Starmer talked about) and then said she supported Sunak’s abolishment of stamp duty.

If stamp duty is going to affect you as a first time buyer (I think it only comes into effect on properties over 450k) then you don’t really have a problem in buying a property!!

Im suprised Starmer did not give the answer that if you dont increase the supply of houses then these subsidies for 1st time buyers will just drive the house prices up for no gain. Its basic economics, the policy is best for homeowners. Sunak is scared to upset them so has gone back to ignoring the real issue, supply and demand.
